Question - would these ported heads with a matched intake be a better choice than LS7 heads/intake on a NA 427ci-441ci build with a moderately agressive cam and max pump gas compression?

I think the heads would work alright, but the Ls7 manifold will not hold you back, the L92 intake is pretty small, it may be your setback.

Will the L92 heads work with an LS7 intake?

No. LS7 for the LS7 and L76 with L92. The L92 intake is a truck intake. L76 is the passenger car version.

Even I gotta admit you have a point there.

Default L92 Heads

Did any one notice that GM High Tech compared (as-cast) L92 heads at 70cc
To fully CNC'd stuff at 64cc. The L92 heads will offer even more power if compression was the same. There are flow numbers availabe on L92 heads with intake. Impressive!

I can't find those numbers. Can you, perhaps, provide a link? Thanks.

Offered as PN 25534401, GM Performance Parts has just released a new intake manifold that allows you to use a carburetor on your L92-headed LS2. The intake also contains injector bosses for fuel injectors-something that Livernois Motorsports took advantage of during the course of our testing

Take from http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...ine_l92_heads/

That should be the carb manifold you are looking for.

Thanks,

Chad @ Livernois Motorsports

This is to clear up some confusion with the intake runner size which I posted in the thread earlier. I want to make it clear based on my post on January 18th that the intake runner size is 280cc. Just so everyone see's the size. I will add it to my first post too.

Thank you.

damn! so many people crying and mud slinging over these heads. hell......most or more then most of the people fighting about them don't even have them ordered yet. well,i do have a set being worked by katech in michigan and like most of the people fighting about them,i hope they do perform because if they don't,i'm the one who will be out of the cash. also,it's the people like me who will have them running on a motor w/dyno and track times that will tell all of you if they are worth it based on dyno and track performance. so,stop fighting, give me and others time to get some results so the rest of you will know what you can expect. you guys have the easy job, just waiting and not spending money on a product that has not yet proven a thing. i'm doing a 402ci w/ported l92 heads, custom cam(i will give specs on it) and l76 intake in a m6 car. the motor should be in and dynoed early april.
be cool guys.
