The cam used in the 402 testing was the SLP 51014 cam.

You are to re-use your stock exhaust rockers. Only the intake valve on the L92 head is offset, which needs the 8 offset L92 intake rockers.

edit: The L92 Intake rockers with this kit are 1.7 ratio. The same ratio as your stock LS1/LS2 intake rocker.

Thanks

Smile Patrick G Cam for my 402 w/L92's

Now I'm getting very exicted! I spoke with Hank a few weeks ago when he was working out this combo.

I'm mating a SLP ZL-402 with a Patrick G. cam recommendation (from Thunder Racing). I can't wait to see what the numbers look like.

With Kevin's 402 making gobs of torque (and not to shabby in the horsepower department either) I think the combo of L92 heads (Duals springs/ shaved .030 with the exhaust and bowls cleaned up) and L76 intakes will suit my needs.

All I'm waiting for is the cam. It's like being a little kid at christmas!!

800 bucks over what? The kit comes with everything needed. Manifold, Heads Decked and Assembled, Injector Adapters, Rockers Arms and pedestals, and throttle cable bracket.

edit: Do not try and add a set of stock L92 heads and Manifold together and compare to this kit. It is extremely competitively priced. Add it up, do not forget the decking and assembly. We also use the correct/different spring seats and new valve seals to make 1.800 install height. Using the stock L92 spring seats with valve seals (one piece) will give a compressed install height (unless you mill down the head under each spring seat). We are not just slapping springs and retainers on these heads, that does not work.

Thanks
Hank

I was just wondering about what your getting past the 1500 setup that GM sells. Im sure the kit is very competitive, Ill admit Im ignorant when it comes to the new stuff. Just looking for the value, no offense meant.

The $1500 setup from GM will be a head with a chamber of 72cc and valve springs only good to .525 lift. No injector adapters or throttle cable bracket. Both are needed for an LS1 harness cable driven vehicle. Since you would only be able to use a .525 lift cam your power levels will be very low. As well your compression will be significantly less assuming the same pistons used, also resulting in less power. We have not completed any testing with such a cam (.525 lift) back to back. BUT, we have completed testing of the stock 72cc chamber vs the SLP chamber with an SLP cam on our engine dyno. Results were great for us. I will post results of that testing tom PM for you.

No offense taken.

Thanks
Hank

Default Throttle cable bracket?

Does the throttle cable bracket allow the throttle by wire body to be converted to cable operation? I'm unclear on this one.

No, the bracket will be used for a 90mm cable throttle body. A FAST throttle body for example. Since there are a few 90mm throttle bodies out there we will let you choose yours, the reason it is not included in the kit. We used the FAST 90 on all of our tests. You can sell the electronic throttle body that comes with the manifold on ebay.

edit:
There is no provision on the L76 manifold to mount your current LS1 throttle cable bracket. That is why we are providing one for you. It allows both mounting of cruise control and throttle cable in the correct location.

Thanks
Hank

Yes we have, we are coming out with those results very soon. We achived over 525 flywheel ft-lbs with shorty headers stock catted GM y-pipe and a SLP powerflo exhaust with the SLP L92 package. All with a 800 RPM idle. We are very excited about releasing this new cam as well. You will see a similar post to this one in the next 2 weeks as we are finishing all the numbers with a full "f-body 402 setup"

edit: the setup above is for a GM Silverado/Sierra 402 street pacakge. With Longtubes, High Flow CATS, F-Body induction (lid/bellows) the power number above sky rockets, but you have to wait for those results as we want to post a detailed page like the one for the L92 heads.

Thanks
Hank

you guys where alittle late with this... I would have purchased the entire kit from you and likely saved a bit of coin if I had known.

We can hook you guys up with the bracket. I will post the P/N and pricing soon.

Yes we are late, BUT we are the only ones with this much testing and detail. We wanted to make sure we provided the best cost highest performing L92 head package we could. We are the first to offer the complete package though.

Thanks
Hank
