If yes, what compression, heads and cam specs you running and any 1/4 mile ets and mph? I believe this is going to be my next set-up and my goals are a reliable, bullet proof N/A LS2 402, that will run 10.5s at the track at over 130 mph in my C5 Z06, and the next weekend can be flogged all afternoon at a road race track!!

NOTHING, but that old N/A bug is biting me after 2 seasons and I want to do more road racing where N/A is the desired choice in a motor!

these are pretty similar to my goals. I should have my motor done by summer. I plan on going with TFS 225's and a pretty radical cam. My current package is really tame since it was my daily driver, but since I only drive it once or twice a week now I plan on going big and nasty. Also, it will be setup for a big shot of the squeeze down the road once I get the rest of the car ready for it

think your shooting a little high for a 402.. tsp told me that 520-530 rwhp was "possible" with a "streetable" cam

and i think thats gonna be best case scinario

I found a tuner who has has built one at 12:1 to 1 compression (9.1 to 1 dynamic compression), TFLow 225s, and running a BABY cam 236/240 cam, who is running N/A 10.3s in his 3400 lb F-Body, at 136, through a MANUAL TRANNY, and 4.57 gears and making 551rwhp and 495rwtq through a 9 inch rear end, big slicks, SAE correct on a dyno jet and i have seen his video and time slips that back up the dyno numbers. I don't know, but seems as if a few are doing it (and he tested 6 different cams) some much larger and the baby cam is making the most power. This is running on 100 unleaded at the track though and that certainly does make a difference and the higher compression seems to be the difference here along with the best heads on the market the TFS 225 (out of the box)!

Also has a fast 90 which is ported and good for 15rwhp according to his dyno tests. Some motors just have the right COMBO and make HUGE POWER and this seems like one of them.

I don't agree with that, you can run a pretty big cam with a good tuner!! My cousin's Vette had a 302/302 Adv dur, 240/240 @.050, on a 112+4 and it was very well mannered on the street. He broke a rod bolt with it and is now building a 402 as well. His combo with the 346 made 345 RWHP & 406 RWTQ on seven cylinder's SAE corrected (he actually made 3% more due to weather condition's), but had a bad brand new MSD coil. He didn't finish getting the final tune on it before he grenaded it, as this was his daily driver.

Im Just Sayin 550rwhp On A 402 Na Is Pushin It.. Mabye You Can Do It But Tsp Told Me That Their 402 Setup Is Good For 520-530 Rwhp With A Cam Comperable To A Ms3 In A 346

Im Not Saying You Cant Run Big Cams As Im Runnin A 237/242 On A 113 And My Car Is Very Streetable.. And I Made 430 Rwhp Through A Unlocked 4000 Stall But To Say That A Slightly Bigger Cam And 50 Cubes Would Net Me Another 120 Hp Seems A Little Optimistic (but Not Impossible I Guess)

I am building a 402/408 with L92 Heads, L76 Intake, Holley 90mm Throttle Body, and the Magic Stick 3 Cam (237/242, .603/.609, 112 LSA)
I hope to hit 500RWHP through a A4.

Streetable is a relative term. With an auto and big stall, you can make almost any big cam "streetable". The M6 is not so forgiving and is much more difficult to smooth out bucking/surging that comes with big overlap in low rpm cruising required for "street" manners.

I think that with all of the 500 RWHP 346's popping up, hitting 550 with a 408 should be more than obtainable. Even through the FAST 90.

550 is just a dyno number, thats worthless to chase. We have put togeteher a few combos that would easily do what your looking for in track times though, have some heavy *** auto cars that trapped that number.

Already have the motor built and ready to buy and it runs consistent 10.3s at 134 to 136 mph (all motor) on a 3400 lb race weight Z28, with a MAUAL TRANNY. Big stalled auto would run into the 9s with that type of power this is making. Has less than 100 miles on a brand new motor and 20 dragstrip passes (no spray/N/A). The track is what matter and we know this and this particular 12:1 to 1 compression 225 Trick Flowed Headed LS2 402 is certainly hauling the mail and should propel my Z06 into mid 10s all day and that's what i'm looking for!

Was just wondering who else is having these type of result on a max effort 402!

I have E-mailed this company and asked them if this engine is streetable and they tell me a definate "yes". I want a totally streetable engine, I just have to determine if their defination of streetable is the same as mine. JB http://www.w2wpowertrain.com/pc-78-8...l-402-ls2.aspx

I would like to know this to. I am getting new heads for my 414ci and I want to be at 550rwhp+ thru a M6. I am thinking of the TFS 225cc heads. My LS6's made 537rwhp. My cam is a 244/248..612/615..112 LSA.

My 408 with ET 4245`s and a 250 255 640 640 112 drives like a baby now. got a SD tune and it did wonders for driving around town. 530rwhp and limited on shift point to save tranny right now. I paid more for the Speed density tune but it is so much fun to drive now. Me and the wife and kids just got back from popping the T-tops off and taking a sunday drive. My car weighs 3600 without me. I`m 220lb so I will be curious to see what I run now. When I just had H/C and 100 shot I got 6.9`s- 98.2mph in the 1/8th. So I`m hoping mid 10`s on motor(408) and I don`t know with my 200 shot for a pure street car, A/C and full interior!

You can't go wrong with w2w. They build some of the best lsx motors out there. They get you exactly what you want.
