Default L92 Cam Retainer Plate

I have a new cam retainer plate for my LS1, which I have been told is now the same as the L92. It has countersunk holes and flat heads screws. Has anyone run into this on the L92? I am looking for the GM specifications for the tightening torque on these flat head torx screws.

I "think" GM changed the design for all of the newer cam plates and went to flat head screws. As far as torque, I have no idea what it would be.

Yes, I have all the new parts and no information on the torque values required. They are also a torx bit and the bolts have sealer/thread locker on them so I am wondering if the torque might be reduced. Don't want to find out the hard way

The torque spec for the Torx style fastener in the 2008 Escalade 6.2L manual is 15 Nm or 11 lb ft

The plate will split if overtorqued to the 18ft lb number of the old plate. The 11 listed should work perfect.

Thanks, I was afraid of something like that and there was no explanation provided with the new parts.

Do you happen to have the part number for the cam retainer plate and bolts?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Matt at SDPC was very helpful and the one who actually straightened me out on the correct bolts. When I first got the plate, I was told by another vendor to use the original bolts. But the holes are countersunk and I knew that was not correct information. SDPC has actually spoke to GM on this. I also have a thread in the Gen III section, here is the link. If you need more information let me know and I will see if I can dig up the receipts.
