Default New TA Owner in VA

Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I'm new to the world of V8's. I've been into cars for about 5 or 6 years and I've never owned a "domestic". I've owned DSM's (Eclipse, Talon & Laser), 300zx TT, 3000GT VR4 (twin turbo) and a 440whp Evo (that's on stock 2.0 motor and pump gas).

Anywho, I'm loving it. The instant torque just makes me grin ear to ear, and I love the six speed. I've only done a couple things to it so far (only had it for 2 weeks now). I've done a SLP Lid and Skip Shift delete. The rest of the car is bone stock. On to the pics! Sorry in advance for the crappy quality, I didn't have a whole lot of time after work this afternoon. I'll get better ones later.

Welcome. My b/f and I are not far from you....we live in Bristow/Gainesville and we work in Chantilly/Herndon. He does alot of work on the fbods and I detail them . He has a 95 Z28 and I have a 2000 Trans Am (used to be a formula). The weather might be good enough for some locals to go to the Cruise in's they have at the Burger King on Rt 28/234 bypass. We're going to head out there weather permitting....you should come

I live in Springfield, I'm from Fairfax and I work in Dulles/Sterling. I should have clarified. One of my good friends, James, drives a 95 Z28 and his girlfriend drivers a Trans Am.

Oh ok. Funny about the coincedences there huh? And add another one....we just moved from Ashburn/Sterling this Sunday And the guy that's going to do the painting is in Springfield !! I don't think we know of James or his g/f but maybe we have seen them in the area. What colors are their cars?

I thought about it. But decided that naturally aspirated would be more than sufficient for what I want out of it...for now. I plan on going full exhaust, cam, possibly gears, tune and some sticky tires.

James' is red, and I believe his g/f's car is black. But, I'm not positive. That is a lot of similarities. Small world. heh

Yeah small world. I have seen a black TA in the chantilly area but its a WS6. There was a red WS6 LS1 that we saw a few times when we lived in Ashburn. It had black stripes on just the scoops....not sure if that your friend or not. Well if you want to, check out BK this Saturday .

My wife's parents live in Gainsville. I was picking up the stepson from the grandparents on Sunday and passed an SS and TransAm....I'll be keeping an eye out for you all.

Tim and I live in Bristow....just down the road from Gainesville and I had my car out around there when we were coming back from MD to talk with the painter that's going to paint my hood. Right after we got home we went to the BK in Manassas for the cruise-in in Tim's Z28. There were a good amount of people there including two of our friends with their SS and T/A
