LS4 GXP Turbo & Tranny build up project
Hey All,
After doing much comparative research, I've clearly been able to decide that going turbo is the best bang for the buck.
So my project begins.
You can follow it on facebook if you like.

I think you will find this an interesting build. Not only are we updating the car from an E40 to an E67 PCM, but I have also agreed to let the car be use in 2 R&D projects once its complete.
Im certain you will find it interesting. Posting pictures as we go.
This build will also produce an affordible yet scalable Turbo Kit.
Cheers

Hey Guys,
Sorry I've taken some time to re post here. Work... you know... busy ugh.
Dieselpump - Yup thats my beast at Kevins house of Horse Power
Alabamaguy - Yes I found it and tried to join. Couldnt get it.
Work on the car is moving along well. Im quite please with Kevin and
the Cartuning staff.
Coming up later this evening are photos of the first R&D project being done on the car. Kevin is responding to his customers and creating a non ic version of his turbo kit for the LS4 crowd. The first photos of this will be posted on my Facebook page later this evening. I've already seen snippets of this myself and it looks very cool indeed. Kevins got a plan to cut the kit up into various stages and make it more affordible. This way we can go turbo from small to big as our cash on hand allows. I think he has a great concept going. From all the research I did, this is indeed the kit to have so anything to put it in reach of everyone is a big step forward.
Also coming up is the final verdict if the E40 to E67 pcm swap will fly properly.
After the non ic kit has been dyno'ed a second R&D project will also begin on my car. Stay tuned to my FB page for updates.
I see some of you already there, which is great. Very glad to have you on board.
This **** is just too much fun to not share it.
Cheers

Adding a turbo to the system actually lowers volumetric efficiency. There's no way that just 12 pounds of boost increased whp by 400 over stock NA levels. 400-450 whp I'd believe - and that power would be awesome.

I've seen the Cartuning videos. I don't buy that 654 whp power claim for that boost level. Someone was aggressively playing with dyno settings to get it to read that.

Your right, it wasnt 12 psi. Was a whole lot more.
However for a bone stock 3.8L L36 running at 12 psi the numbers are 400 hp.
Check out the dyno graph of a bone stock Comp G with a kit.

However the numbers are indeed correct.

plz show me where they got 654whp out of an ls4 on 12psi plz...
i think the accurate number there is 464 i do believe...now, ive seen 503whp i think it was out of the cartuning kit with some tuning done by Kevin on Jays car...the "first concept".... and maybe i didnt read it clearly...was that v6 car your speaking of?
