Quick and nasty - they feel great, pedal response is very quick and definitely
stops hard!

For anyone else wanting to upgrade - don't bother with the washers from McMaster-Carr, they're too thick. The 1/2" fender washers from Home Depot (in orange bag) work perfect to center calipers on the rotors. \

I ordered a set of extended stainless lines from ZZperformance, but the ones for the rear don't work right on the rear GXP calipers. I had a set of Russell W-body stainless lines for my project car and the rear from that kit worked. Also, the ZZPerformance lines needed a double or thick brass washer to center the fluid port on the banjo bolts. Peep da pics

Now if I can get a long weekend to install the LS6 intake and ported TB.
Have fun with ABS and enjoy going through rear pads lol.

Question:

Do these bolts just run into the CTS-V caliper? Simple as that?

Those bolts are CTS-V bolts, they are smaller diameter than the W-body bolts so that's why the sleeves are there. I put a couple pics to show dapping the sleeves in first is best. But yes, the bolt with a couple washers threads into the CTS-V calipers.

The washers in the pic are NOT the washers I ended up using. The original thread called for two each of the ones in the pic, but that set or a single had the caliper to close to one side of the rotor. I used two 1/2" washers from Home Depot on each bolt and it center the caliper damn near perfect.

Hope that helps.

Hey man,

Do you find the rears wear out quick or something?

I stomped on them today and was very happy with how hard it squatted!

What sleeves did you use?

www.brakeperformance.com has cheaper rotors and they're made in the USA.

If it matters to anyone, the rotors I got from brake motive for the swap are stamped made in china. I'm guessing the machine the slots & cross drill in US. The work good so I'm not too concerned.

Are those rotors coated in zinc or no? Trying to figure out if they'll rust.
Do you happen to have a P/N?

Interesting. I never actually inspected them. That could explain why they wouldn't make rotors with a custom bolt pattern. The lady claimed that the machines were already preprogrammed.

I made my own brackets. I'm looking to get more made so stay tuned.

I'll update my brake thread with pictures later.

The rotors from that website are zinc-coated (black); they will not rust and mine haven't in the past 3 years.

EDIT: It's brakeperformance.com and not brakemotive.com. I'll edit my other post.

Are there any performance loses due to the cts-v swap? I know there is more rotational mass with the bigger rotor, but I'm not sure how noticeable it will be.
