almost there, im covered in trans fluid right now so ill make this quick, dont know how the hell to get the Y pipe in on this OBX header kit, we dropped the subframe in the back 6" and still couldnt get it into position. Also, theres no clear instructions as to what needs to be done with the trans dipstick, as it appears to be completely in the way. Total afterthought not to fill the trans with trans fluid and then start the exhaust, soon as we pulled the dipstick, got covered. Had to clean up the EPA disaster.

Secondly, 26R-3 battery fits perfectly and makes it a piece of cake now to get the battery in and out. Gonna tackle this thing the rest of the way tomorrow, looks like ill have to weld the vband flange on FIRST because once that y pipe goes in, its not coming back out again.

While I don't have headers would it be possible to unbolt the rear header, connect the y pipe then reattach the rear header?

Is it just not sliding on? Did you mock it up on the stand first? Could it have gotten peened somehow?

Use a 10mm on the hold down and install. Beware though you will lose a considerable amount of fluid

WTF. That last owner was an idiot. He took care of nothing. Everything you replaced was neglect, he deserved what he got for the car. Oh well, you can handle it and it will have all new parts. Still sucks though

Yeh i already have a basemap tune uploaded with torque management removed and a preliminary shift table for the 3.29 gears, having a tune file to copy from from someone who already has gone through this song and dance with the gears would help me along as there is alot of settings in the E67 that I am unsure about.

You know I was sitting here groaning over the water pump while ordering one overnight off amazon because apparently NO PARTS STORE IN 100 MILES STOCKS THESE, and I realized it cracked while it was on the stand without me even realizing it. I had taken it out to regasket it and when I was torquing it down with my 1/4 torque wrench to 106 inch pounds, i remember one of the bolts making a funny sound, but I thought nothing of it at the time. I suppose its possible that the pump was already hairline fractured from how bad the car overheated and that lead to the failure, the car def got hot because even the trans shop asked about how bad the radiator was, they said they were worried they were going to have to replace the entire valve body because of how badly baked on the trans fluid was from heat, they said they had only seen that in cars that had exceeded 300f in the trans for extended periods of time. Just a waiting game now till the new pump gets here. I may go ahead in the meantime and swap out these shitty OBX exhaust clamps.

the cam you have seems mild enough to not have to worry about injector timing or anything but you need to and set all the dod codes to no report and set dod to disable if you haven't done that already.i would also change up your power enrich. and do a full ve/maf tune. 9times out of 10 they suck from the factory. and yea stainless stepped band clamps work great too for the exhaust
