Default Diablo and OnStar ?

I have a 2005 GXP that came with OnStar but it is now inactive. Did any of you who have the Diablo tuner have to disconnect the OnStar fuse even if it is not active? Thanks in advance.

if the onstar light is on, on the rearview mirror (I'm guessing that's where it is), then I would disconnect the fuse. If the light is off, then no, you don't have to.

Yes, Sir! It came on UPS today. Correct me if I am wrong but we can't firm up the tranny line pressure on our cars can we? I am hoping we can. I am also wondering if this thing comes with the DOD features to turn it off or not? I know, here I go with all the questions. Thanks for any help, guys.

I think you should remove the onstar fuse because onstar can go online when it wonts like for diagnostic report through onstar.

I got mine today too. Came with the ac adapter, that was a plus. I will probably just leave the Onstar fuse out since I don't use it anyway. Do you have to download the tunes from the website cause I don't think the newest tune is on here.

when you boot it up, look at the revision across the top... should be at least 8r06.. if not, then you'll need to grab the update and software from the website and update your unit to 8r07.

I tried to download the tune in the car and got this crazy notice "part number 1269xxx" not found in vehicle database. WTF is that? So in short, I could not download ****! Kind of pisses me off a little bit. Sorry for the rant... Any ideas?

Any ideas?? yup - going by diablosport.com's site, there is no tool that supports the 2005 Pontiac GXP...
it's only available for the 2006 GXP...

the only 2005 Pontiac supported is the GTO.

I'd say get in touch with Diablosport and see what they have to say.

Only thing I can think of is that people should check diablosport's site before getting one, to make sure it will work with their year/model of car... just like the 2006 and 2007 Monte/Impala SS - they're not compatible either. Yes, the engines and trannies are still the same, but they (GM) changed something in the computers - so the Predator for the 2006 does not work with the 2007. Sounds like the same type of issue here.

Before I even considered one I e-mailed Diablo about compatibility. I received and e-mail back stating it would work for a 2005 GXP. I will e-mail them about this too. Thanks though.

The Predator for the 2005-2006 GM LS2/LS4 V8 Vehicles is applicable for the following vehicles:

* 2005 Only C6 Corvette
* 2005-2006 LS2 Chevrolet SSR Truck
* 2005-2006 LS2 Pontiac GTO
* 2006 LS2 Trailblazer SS
* 2006 5.3L V8 LS4 Chevrolet Impala SS
* 2006 5.3L V8 LS4 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
* 2006 5.3L V8 LS4 Pontiac GXP

How to verify that the vehicle is supported

The eighth (8th) position in the vehicle identification number (VIN) is the code that designates the engine type. The Predator will support the vehicle if the engine code is:

Car: 8th digit of the VIN= U,C

========================================

also, check this forum thread out - guy with a corvette had same issue and it sounds like he had to get his ecm flashed to the latest GM version from the dealer first before the Predator would work with his car:

I think Area47 has a Diablo and he has a 2005 GXP. Shouldn't it work for all of them?

his ECM may be updated to the latest GM revisions, whereas yours may not be. That would/could make a difference. Check with him.
