Long time member, new Imapala owner..
Hi folks -
I have been a member here for quite a while as mqqn - I originally joined just after I bought my Z06 back in 2001.
I have had a 1998 Lumina LTZ 3800 that I bought new, and this summer we finally sold the LTZ (with 176k miles) and bought a 2007 Impala SS.
Here is a web album I put up with pics of the car just after I we brought it home:

I recently changed the oil to Royal Purple - other than that, it is 100% bone stock.
We had to have the TSB about the tire sensors and the remote keyfobs performed - the dealer replaced both fobs and the remote transmitter in the car under warranty.
We now have 6k miles on it and so far so good.
I was very happy to see this forum and you folks discussing the cars.
best regards -
mqqn
(I am posting as temporary since I forgot my password and this forum has an old email account....)

And you have not stopped by yet!!
It has been crappy and I have had the garage door closed.
I just put all new brakes and tires on the Z, and I'll be cleaning the cars up and doing maintenance on them and the bikes.
I was happy to find this forum as there are not that many places to find like minded people with these cars.
good to see you over here.
I hope the mods can get my regular id fixed back up - I pm'd one of the mods who I hope can just update my email and password.
Until then, this is temporary signing out lol.....

Good choice! Decided to stick with a W-bod huh? Me too, I had a '99 Monte Carlo Z34 with the 3800 for several years before getting my Impala. But I love my Impala. Even though my T/A is much faster I always find myself driving the Impala because it's so much mre comfortable and roomy. Enjoy the car.
