do you know if the lt1 starter will fit the 1st gen sbc?

 

should sbc is pretty generic

 

IT might not. You should definitely check how your small block starter bolts up. I know there are 2 different blocks/starter combos on the the gen 1 sbc's. One version has the bolt holes on the block for the starter lined directly up with each other, in the other version they are staggered. Kind of hard to explain. Not sure what lt1 starters look like but could very well be different.
