ok so i am looking to lower my 94 Z and i dont know about the ground clearance... do most of you have issues with hitting stuff all the time? ie.. just normal cruising.. i mean i know it will make some things take a little more time and i'll be more careful but like flying down the highway... do you bottom out going onto or off bridges? or just normal driving? i dont want to hit my headers or y or cutout. if you are lowered... whats your setup and do you have any issues or suggestions for me?
second
has anyone got much experience with the slp shift module for the 4l60e?

thanks in advance!

Mine has been lowered with drop zone springs. It is 1.5" in the back and .75" in the front. This was done with the previous owner. He said he put new GM shocks on when he did it and drove the car for 200 miles to let the springs settle in then had it aligned. I have no problems with ground clearance at all. I have done some research and found that lowering the car will pull the rearend to the drivers side up to 3/8 of an inch. So this spring I am going to put on an adjustable pan hard bar along with sub frame connectors and an adjustable torque arm. Have it aligned again and from what I understand the thing will handle awesome. I hope so. Hope this helps.

I have hypercoil springs all around and its pretty low but not slammed, i also installed some belstein hd's along with the springs and it feels much more responsive as far as handling. As far as bottoming out it hasnt happened "yet". But the rear does tend to move sideways as that is my issue now until I recieve my adjustable panhard rod by byunspeed "Slow Processing time" which should fix the problem. When i go over big speedbumps i do have to go very slow or else my subframes connectors hit.

about the slp shift improver I have B&M's shift plus which i believe does the same thing, makes your tranny shifts firmer. Mine has two levels plus you can turn it off or on when ever you want. I'm sure using it puts more strain on the tranny...I bought the B&M which can be turned off for whatever it may be

thanks man. your car looks pretty sweet. and i knew it would put strain on the tranny but i didnt know how much... does it just firm it up by more pressure in the lines? do you have tracions issues? or is the panhard bar the last of your worries?

to my knowledge its all electronic and i believe all it is, is a resistor that makes the changes. The only traction issues i encounter are during under heavy acceleration
but none pertaining to having lowering it. The thing is that my rear is noticeably off center and its driving me nuts seeing it and i ordered my panhard bar on the 20th of this month and the order is still being processed which I find very unpleasing.
