So i got the SLP Lid put on today. Had to do a little bit of cutting but no big deal. I still have to make a cover to go over the top of the radiator and stuff. But over all i think it turned out pretty good.

Just finished painting my intake. I think it turned out pretty well for a $20.00 paint job. I just bead blasted it to get all the 14 y/o oil off of it washed it down and painted it. I did 4 coats of black primer and 4 coats of semi gloss black. Let me know what you guys think.

intake looks good, and so does the lid.

Thanks man.

The lid does clear the hood but i did have to cut the supports out of the underside of the hood to make it work.

Well the formula now hows the CETA mod to the rear bumper. I did it in semi gloss. It turned out pretty good i think for never really painting anything before.

Im sure if you cut the core support like I did it will clear fine. But if you wanna run the whole LS1 setup (the lid and the radiator cover thing you will have to cut the hood up some)

Black94Z28 did the whole LS1 set up on his car. Hes got a 4in cowl i believe and still had to cut it. Shoot him a PM and ask him tho.

Finally got some more stuff done on the car today. Made a filler plate to fill in the trans tunnel where the stock 6 spd shifter went, mounted my new B&M Quicksilver shifter, made a new switch panel and finished up the LS1 lid conversion. Its finally coming together

I'm gonna ditch it soon to. It looks like crap without a console and having the E-Brake in there.

So the timing cover has to come off AGAIN!!!! I guess when i put the new double roller in i some how messed up the timing(I lined up the dots and everything if anyone has any advice on this please let me know). Went to adjust the rockers and got half of them adjust rotated the motor about 3/4 of a rotation then it just stopped moving. One of the valves is hitting the piston...so i get to rip it apart again ugh this sucks. Hopefully i don't trash the new pan gasket i just put in.

Default if it's not too much of a hassle...

do you think you could do a little how-to on the SLP lid on a stock firebird hood. I have no idea what to cut and I dont have a clue what to do for a radiator support or much else. I have a lid and a filter, but dont know what else to do. If it is too complicated, don't worry about it.
