Nice results. I look forward to finally getting to weigh mine when it is completed. It is most definetly a ton of work. I have months in just attempting to strip mine out. I haven't even started putting it back together yet.

Been following the thread/strip for a while now. Thats the lightest number Ive seen out of a 4th gen that wasnt all fiberglass. Let see it lay down some numbers.

Of course there is.... You take 50% of the car out and you don't have to put it back in.

I am honestly just concerned in trying to remember how everything goes back together, what bolts / screws go where, and finding the parts at this point. I don't want the thing to squeek and rattle because I randomly placed fasteneres in the wrong spots.

cigarette lighter, HVAC, Radio, Airbag, Ebrake and thats it, i traced all 3 power wires that go to the cluster from the fuse panel and theyre all intact (no multimeter until tomorrow), checked the grounds and theyre good, and checked the tach signal wire and its good. also put the cluster in my g/fs 96 camaro is it works perfect so its not that.. im stumped

Good luck. That was my largest fear in trimming mine. The way the factory circuitry is wired together is retarded.

right but my thing is that i should only need power, ground, and a tach signal wire to the cluster in order for it to work. i should actually be able to remove all other wires from the cluster harness and the tach should still work correct? in theory atleast. picking up a multimeter today, thatll make this SOOO much easier

is there any way to get a schematic on how many volts should be going to which wire with key on/off and so on?

nice run. I just got back tonight from the track and it wasnt a good night for anyone. one friend blew her burst plate on her dragster and blew fire in the compartment, my buddies 2000 z28 blew a head gasket, another in a 97 mystic cobra blew his trans and have to take an hour drive in only 1st gear with 4:10's, and my other buddies wife through a rod in his 2nd gen lightning. It was overall just not a good night for us tonight. Im glad mine is still up in the air at my house or mine probably would have blew too. congratulations on your new PB tough

The best it went before the weight reduction was 13.4 @ 105...then after it went 12.75@106 but that is with 3.42 gears and 28" ET Streets..with a 26" tire and 4.10s it would run 12.3x or faster on motor i think.
