Default Thinking about engine combo

Been doing a lot of reading, I think I wanna start modding my engine by adding the 58mm TB, eldabrock intake, and some sort of heads and cam to match. Going to leave the bottom end alone for now until I need to build a motor or I finish with the suspension and trans.

My main question is what heads and cam would compliment the intake and throttle body and make power? I'm going to have it tuned locally and its a street/strip car, not a DD. I would like to stay on 93 for practicality sake.

Forgot to mention I been eyeing the LE H/C packages.

also wanted to know if the eldebrock manifold helps with the #6 and #8 runners and using nitrous? I want to get the Nitrous outlet plate setup and maybe go with a 100 shot.

save your money on the intake and have yours done for half the price. LE is great stuff. Alot of people on the board are running his stuff. Give him a call for a custom grind for that nitrous and you'll be set

So porting a stock one is just as good as an off the shelf eldebrock? When porting a stock one, is it better to start off with an LT4 or once its ported, it doesn't matter?

edelbrocks are actually know to make you loose power. a 58 mm tb is very necessary for most applications either. ad for h/c, im gonna go with one of the Ai kit

Exactly, stick with the stock manifold and have Lloyd port it. Save some money and have your 48mm TB ported to a 52mm. Purchase a set of LE2s and have Lloyd tweak one of his grinds a little to help the nitrous factor. Or just have him recommend a good NA cam and don't worry about how it runs on the juice. Unless your running a big shot of nitrous (which I wouldn't recommend on a stock shortblock) it's not worth sacrificing the NA power.

Don't waste your money on the Edelbrock. Have Lloyd work on your stock one. He did a really nice job on mine. The LE2 package would be a good choice to look into. Really happy with my set up.

Thanks for the useful info, seems like I'm gonna send my whole topend to be done when I'm ready. I planned to do spray a 100-125 at the most on the stock bottem end.

Zrated, your times look awesome and ur setup sounds close to what I want to end up at, have you done any weight reductions.

The car might be a few lbs. under factory weight, I'm not sure. I took a few things out. Back seat, passenger seat (for now), front sway bar and brackets, spare, abs delete, cruise control and I'm running Bogart wheels. But it has the added weight of the CM 6-point, KBDD subframe connectors and the nitrous system. Probably a wash.
