Default SLP or shbox

if you use a t56 that came from a car with a 110 speedo and try to use it in one with a 155 speedo what would be the outcome?

a car going 80-85 while the speedo says 55?

i tried changing the speed sensors from the 95 to the 93 transmission and no change. i have narrowed it down to either the gauge cluster is screwed up or the guages being different.

As long as they are both 94-97 T56s, I don't think there is any difference. The output pulses from the VSS should be the same. I'm not a manual trans expert, though.

Its because the 93 trannies gear ratios are different.

if you put 4:10's in your car you have to have them programmed in

Well it is that different I think 93s had a 2.73 or 3.23 rear end and the trans gearing was set up different to accomidate that. A 3.42 and the 93 tranny prob is like having 4.10s
You need to tune it to have it corrected

the car its self doesnt have 4:10 gears just with the 93 tranny and the 3:42 rear end it "acts" as if it does.

Like said you will need a tune to put in the correct gearing of the trans to get the right speed

also the car feels week like a 4 banger instead of a v8. idles like it has a cam but runs cool no other issues. no bogs or anything just SLOW. also my oil pressure driving right after start up is about 60 then after it warms up to 165-170 somewhere in there the oil pressure slowly drops to around 45-50 and my idle pressure is around 25-30

Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but I thought the speedo was mechanical in the '93 trannies and the only way to have it calibrated was to change up the speedo gear?

I was under the impression that just the A4 was different 93=4L60 94+ 4L60E

Same from what I have seen.. the 1993 T56 has the little electronic Speed Sensor.

The reason the Speedo is off is cause the T56 reads a 17 Pulse Reluctor Wheel, you will need the PCM adjusted for that. It's easier than converting anything inside the T56.
