Default Bullet racing cams???

jus got a bullet racing cam(brand) and was just wondering people thoughts on them. my previous cam was a XFI lobe compcam. The bullet cam has less advertised lift than the old compcam that i am removing. Just from eyeballing the bullet cam the lobes looks wider and taller than the compcam XFI lobe. From what i've heard from a very credible person bullet cams are quality cams, just can't find any info on them on here

Never even heard of them making LT1-specific grinds. You're also gauging their quality by the way the lobes look? Not to mention you only have one person saying they are "quality." Less duration too? The XFI series of cams are quality performers. What are the stats of this new magic cam?

Is the Bullet advertized with 1.5 rockers? The XFI ARE advertized with 1.6s.

Now you have. not gauging the quality of the cam by the way it looks, lol, im just wondering who else has them since i see no info on them on the board. That one person is Lloyd Elliot, but everyone has there opinion.

Just make sure you use the springs Bullet tells you too. The XFI cams eat the Comp recommended springs because Comp gets the rpm range wrong for LT1 useage. I believe a company like Bullet would be less inclined to make a major oversight like that.

That's who grinded mine. I gave the specs to Lloyd, and it came in a Bullet box. The pin was long enough too. The only thing I didn't like was it had the fuel pump lobe (which isn't a big deal to me), but it works good.

I have to check my cam card, but I do believe the Bullet cams are rated with 1.5 rockers. Just take the gross lobe lift numbers and multiply them by 1.6.

Bullet/Ultradyne is a great cam company. They can get you a cam to do what ever you are needing it to do.

Default Bullet Cams

Bullet cams are a take off of Lazer cams. Bill Metzger was a pioneer in making cams for the LT1 and of course all other engines. Back in the day he made cams for our LT1's with narrow LSA from 106 on up, even when all others, Comp, Crane ect said it would not work. But now they all grind cams with narrow lobes. I met Bill at a Super Chevy show and let me tell you he knew his crap, He designed, ground all of his cams. After Bill passed away his family tried to continue the business but did not have the knowledge but one of the mechanics that worked with Bill moved on to Bullet cams taking what he learned from him. Most local street racers do not know of these cams but most of the big time racers will tell you they use Bullet..Bottom line, they are great cams...

I live a few minutes from Bullet Racing Cams. If anyone is familiar with the Lunati`s, then you`ll like Bullet cams because they own them.
