Default I need help, car doesn't go into BLM

I have a 95 Z28, I just did pacesetter long tubes and I extended the o2 sensor wires. I soldered all but one that wouldn't take solder. I started the car and did a scan with datamaster. At first the car entered closed loop but would not do anything with the BLM. I checked and it said the right o2 was ok but the left o2 was not ready.
I pulled both sensors and checked all the wires for inline resistance. Two of the brown wires had like 5 ohms of resistance on the left o2, so I re-soldered them until they were normal. Now the car bounces out of closed loop and the sensor still doesn't stay ready all the time. It still hasn't gone into block learn.
I'm running open headers, but I wouldn't think that makes a difference because the sensors are heated. I'm going to do plugs and wires asap, but can anyone lend some tips. I have LT1 edit and tts datamaster to log the car.

being that the o2s are just inches from open air i think they would be going apeshit.

Open headers=no good for O2 readings and if you cut/soldered on the O2 wires, themselves, that is also no good for the O2. That can ruin them.

No kiddin. I thought soldering O2 wires was Ok because that's what pacesetter recommended, over butt connectors.

The funny thing is the readings are good, between 500 and 800 mV, and the right o2 says it's ready. I just can't seem to get the car to get into Block Learn, it just says cell 16 and integrator 128 and never changes. I'm wondering if it's in limp tune? All my connections are good, and i'm not throwing any codes. The car is warm, and as far as I can tell there are no obvious problems.

Altering the wires at all on the O2s is not recommended. If you need to lengthen, buy some plug in extensions or lengthen the car's harness not the O2's wires.

Extend the harness that the o2's plug into, not the wires on the o2 sensor itself.

Dude you said you left one wire off the 02s bec it wouldnt take solder... How in the hell do you expect the car to run right if you dont have all the wires hooked up?

The way you extend the wires "properly" is to get the right connections and make your own extensions with some wire. Just have to get the right plug. If you get me a picture of the plug I can get it for yo u (dont remember what it looks like). Either that or check w EFI Connection or Caspers Electronics for the ends.

I used butt connectors on mine and have had ZERO problems and they both still read perfectly...

I used good connectors that I sell (not **** from walmart), and heat shrinked all the connections to keep out moisture, dirt, etc.

Make sure all the wires for your extension are the same length as well...

I got my O2 extentions from the WS6store.com and were around $45 shipped for the pair. Have had them on for about a year and work fine.

Ok I wasn't clear, I soldered all but one wire, and I used a butt connector on that one. The car stays in trim cell 16 which I understand is not a learning cell. So now my question is why doesn't the car leave 16, and what are the condidtions that are needed to enter learning mode.

ok lemme clear this up. the harness itself uses copper wire which u can extend by soldering. now the o2 wires are made of stainless steel and no matter what u do temp wise or using flux to clean u will never get them to hold for a decent amount of time extend the harness side of buy extensions. i extended my harness not to bad.
