you might search Victor E. I think it was a popular swap for the TB guys.

part # Edelbrock 29785 - Edelbrock Victor E EFI Intake Manifolds

yeah i saw the elbows with the 90mm TB and the 105s but im looking for the 4 barrel throttle bodies and seeing how people are doing it without cutting the cowl (if possible) i would rather go with a 90 or 105 if the 4 barrel requires cutting the cowl

Thanks Larry, it looks like I'll have to go with an elbow to avoid trimming it, not a big dead and a 90mm should flow plenty for what I'll be running

A Vic E is roughly 4.5 inches tall, between a 2 inch Accufab/Fast 4barrel and a 2inch low profile carb hat I think it will all stuff under the cowl (can't run any spacer). Theres about 9.5 inches to work with from the base of the intake to the cowl.

To the original poster, a Monoblade outflows a 90mm LS1 TB, could just run a 860 elbow or if you have fab skills make your own.

I think with a 4brl style throttle body you could run blow thru hat like the FI guys run and run a tube up to a ls1 air cleaner box. This wouldn't be much taller then an elbow and ls or 5.0 style throttle body.

I'll already have a grand into the intake, I think I'm just going to run an elbow to a ford/lsx throttle body

Back in the day I had a converted Super Vic 2925 converted that cost me a little over $1,600. Doing a badass single plane setup that will cost me around $500 at the moment and I don't even have to drill the heads or machine the intake . I know some really good porting techniques on the supervic/Vic E/ vic jr so I'lljust do that myself.

Have you bought the TB yet? Who did the port work and do you have any plenum pics?

I am doing this swap right now also, and I have the 860 elbow so I could run the stock style tb. Can you run the 1000cfm 4 hole with a stock computer if you ran the hat like outlawZ with the maf inline along with the iat sensor! Just asking didn't really see what everyone was running for a pcm.

I run the 4 barrel from accufab. It's the 4150 style... Lokar cable hooks right up to it... it opens the first two barrels at part throttle and then the other two open up at like 60% throttle. all 4 are wide open at WOT.... standard GM sensors hook right up. vacuum ports at the back for your MAP sensor which has to be remotely mounted..... Tony and I talked about this setup when i was putting mine together and I know that he was haviing "Tip in" throttle issues with his XFI when he had the single 90mm throttle body IIRC. He went and bought a 4 barrel but didn't like it....

I never had ANY issues with mine. The hat is from procharger and one good thing about it is that you can point it any direction you want so it's adaptable to different setups. I'm going to keep the same setup when i go turbo....

You won't have to cut the cowl unless you do a hat and/or an air/filter.... if you're talking street car i highly recommend against NOT running an air filter... mine is a strip car with occasional street time and i STILL run a K&N filter....
