Default Anyone using Tunerpro

I just downloaded a copy of this, for free???....

Is there something I'm missing here?

Looks like all the tables are there and I can edit them.

Been playing around with a .bin file for a stock 94 lt1 I found online.

I need to find out now how to download / upload the the bin files to my ECM and I should be good to go.

How is tunercats different than this. Kinda hard to beat when it's free.

Plus you can buy the emulator from Craig at Moates and you get a license for tunerpro RT and you can datalog and tune in real time.

Pretty cool.

You can upload the tune using either the Tunercats trial version or even easier to use C.A.T.S. Winflash which also has a trial period.

I used Winflash and it worked great to burn the new tune onto the PCM.

Thanks man! I actually have tunercats but the definition file is messed up and keeps asking for a password. So I have to get that sorted out, but I do have the winflash you're talking about.

In the meantime I'm going to play with tunerpro and see how it works.

I'm gonna go pull the tune off my car and adjust the idle just to see if it works in tunerpro!

They both do the exact same thing in modifying the binary code of the .bin file. TunerPro will not flash the PCM though. You will need winflash or tunercat to do that. I personally use both TunerCAT and TunerPro depending on what I'm adjusting. I've found that it is nearly impossible to see the timing tables graphed in TunerCAT so I use TunerPro to adjust my timing tables and smooth them since I can actually see the 3d graph then use TunerCAT for the rest. Neither is very user friendly and a good understanding of GM terminology is needed in either program.

Thanks man. I actually got my tunercats up and working today. I can see how it may be beneficial to have both, but I will primarily be learning and using tunercats.

Quite a curve to begin with, but it will be worth it.

If you have to convert your 97 to an OBD1 94-95... they plug in the same and you just need to swap the knock sensors to make it work!
