Default Interest Thread - 93-97 LT1 Firebird Bi-Xenon Projector Kit

See:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...ector-kit.html

Just a repost to get more input on this for BLSolutions... This is a HUGE HUGE HUGE upgrade for our lame *** firebird headlights. They look awesome, clean, and a HELL of a lot brighter. My headlights suck, and I would gladly pay for a GOOD upgrade.

I would definitely invest in some relatively cheap HID bulbs wayyyyyy before I would fork out that kinda cash for the assembly. For that price you could add another couple hundred bucks and have those retarded looking breathless headlights.

No Thor you don't need to fork over that kinda cash...only an idiot would waste money like that!

Take a look at these two items:

Light Housing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Bi-Xeon Lights: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

And HEY they look DAMN close to what he has huh?

Yea, I bought those " Projector headlamps " off ebay with 8k Hid's

I was scared to drive with them. Those fact projector lamps scatter the light so bad you cant see 5 feet in front of your car. 125$ Down the drain. I did that because I hit a deer in my car and needed new headlamps anyways. I went to the Boneyard the next day and grab some factory lamps.

I tried flipping the housings upside down the bulb at different directions. Just yea dont waste your money on the ebay H4 projectors. If anything just get the H4 Halogen ones and blind ppl

Really? my neighbor installed them with NO problem, he got them from that very same dealer. I just simply don't like their looks, but as for the Bi-xeon's I'm trying to work on a way with them now.

Maybe I got a crap set of one or the other but It sucked. I live in the country so sacrificing any light output was not a option so yea back to Sylvanias it went.

Which ironically I hit the deer because the person behind me had hids and in my mirrors it was blinding me. All of the sudden he dropped way back and by the time my eyes adjusted there it was running across the road. *** didnt even stop to see if I was ok. On a plus note I launched that ************ that by the time I stopped it landed on my roof =)

No, only an idiot would try to pass off those weak *** projectors as even a real substitute to the real things.

Those linked are just a glass in a bowl shape. No science behind it.

You have to pay for the real thing, and the real performance behind it.

All those plug and play kits, don't hold a candle to the BLS kit's performance.

Agreed way too much money for headlights. You could do the headlight mod for ~$80 and have decently good lights, better than you would need.

I still don't see how that ebay stuff could match up to what BLS made up.

It probably doesn't "match up", but for $5-600 less I could have a decent set of headlights in the stock housings that will be fine for anything I would ever want. For me it would be utterly ridiculous to spend that kind of money on something small and relatively insignificant. I could buy a K-member and upper/lower control arms for that price.
