Ok my cousin just got slp camaro ss and i lost to it horribly. I got him off the start. But then he came back and blew past me like i was standing still. What mods that are fairly cheap that i can do that will kinda give me a better chance in beating him. I have about 1200 dollars and want to keep it naturally aspirated. I was thinking about ported intake or lt4 intake

The only thing with the cam though is that my car has 107k on it and idk if the engine will hold up with out a rebuild. The previous owner ran 150 shot on it but it still holds oil pressure just fine.

Internally the LT4 intake is the SAME as the late LT1 intakes, so you might want to go back and question what you thought you knew and what you have assumed sofar.
Guys have done north of 425rwhp with good heads and cam on a stock shortblock, with untouched intake, so porting the intake on a bolton car should not be worth much if anything.
Roller rockers and good springs would gain you some topend, you could consider a cam that will come pretty close to tapping your budget though.
I would say for an off the shelf though go no bigger than the Comp 503.
I have made fools of a few LS cars at the track, they are more than a little surprised when an LT1 in a whale of a car beats them.

Honestly, if you're just trying to beat your friend and are otherwise happy with the car, screw the desire to stay NA and just get a nitrous kit. It's will easily accomplish your goal and can be done right for your budget.

Well my car is set up for nitrous still from the previous owner but i wanted to sell it so i can get some extra cash for a cam kit. I dont know what it would be worth its only been used 3 times. How much do you think i could get for it. Also would you think 107k would be pushing it with the motor?

You're cutting it really close with the cam kit. If you only have $1200 to spend I would add some spray and prepare for a rebuild by setting the extra money after the nitrous aside.
