Default Clearance issues with Milodon 30909 oil pan?

I installed a friends motor the other day. He went with the 30909 pan. It is now within millimeters of touching the rack. I might be able to slide a piece of paper in between and that is it. Anyone else have this issue in their car? Motor mounts are newer and poly so I ruled that out. Pretty stumped.

Tostito, is this a problem that causes the pan to contact the rack during use?

I run that pan, but I have a UMI k-member. It must have the rack mounted slightly different than a stock k-member because I have no clearance issues.

I take this overly defensive, man-crush-like posture to mean no?

I have the stock k member and the oil pan hit the rack right now I'm building a 8 mm flange to put between the motor mounts an the engine. It should be work I'll let you know.
what I don't understand for what reason is not a problem for other people since it only happens to a few and for why I read in others forums this oil pan it's called the sleeper for that reason

this will resolve your clearance issue but may effect your DL angle. May have to shim under tranny mount if you get vibes. Just something to consider and hopefully it won't effect enough to cause any DL vibes

part of moding

If you get into shimming the trans mount then you will also have to measure the pinion angle. As stated, no need to do this unless you experience any sort of vibration that wasn't there before.
