Default Initial test fit, BLS HID setup (96 WS6), Pics!

Finally got my hands on the new 93-97 BLS HID system. This kit is pretty amazing, top notch components and build. I just wanted to post a quick couple pics of my progress. Started on the passenger side first and test fit the frame and projector. Unit sits in the factory bucket like a glove. I ran into a little problem of my own, originally had a german H4 setup and I will be switching out to a 55watt, 5000k, D2S system. So, no night shots of the cut-off yet I also want to point out that this kit is extremely user friendly. It took me longer to take everything apart than it did to fit the unit in the bucket. Any of the LT1 firebird guys that are on the fence about spending the money, do it! You will be very happy with the final product. I will start another thread when I'm close to finished and properly review the nuts and bolts of the new BLS LT1 firebird HID system!!!

Thanks Brian !

projectors are the FX-R's

and a side shot just cause I like it

UPDATE:

Here are some additional shots of the work today. I installed the drivers side and tested all the alignment, everything looks great. Started installing the lens covers into my 4x6 metal trim rings. I'm taking my time with the bead of sealant on the lens covers and I will probably let them cure for 24 hours before I try to install the covers. I don't know that you need to do this with each unit, just taking the extra time so I only have to do it once

Here you go:

Real Quick,
Not really blowing $'s, already had this paid for way back. I need to holla at you later, still Thanks for the comps

Ikaros23,

Almost finished with the lenses, curing the permatex will take a little bit longer. Once again, I don't think anyone needs to let the stuff setup this long, but it can't hurt while I'm waiting on the 55watt, D2S, 5000k system. I can't wait, I will have Laser Eyes on the bird

Another quick update:

I installed the lens and trim ring today. Everything went pretty smooth, once again, letting the permatex cure for almost 48 hours is severe overkill. I would say 1 hour of letting it setup and another hour or two for good measure and your ready to go. I'm suppose to get the 55 watt D2S kit on saturday. If so, I will try to finish the wiring and install the new ballasts and take some night shots.

Another side shot for fun....

Update: Just a quick pic of the cutoff down both sides of the row. I have not had a chance to do the adjustment left or right / up or down, but the lighting is simply amazing at night ! I'm going to try and finish the final shots on Sunday night, (hopefully).

black_byrdWS6,
It's funny you would ask. The guy that makes the kit is also BlackbirdWS6 (BLSolutions). BLS lighting is where you want to purchase the entire kit. Thanks for the comps!

flyinZ,
It's definitely bright! I just ordered a set of 6000k D2S last night. I'm going to try the 4300k, 5000k (current shot), and 6000k to see which one looks best with my fogs.

Yes, LED license plate light I actually have every exterior light with LED, and all of my interior including gauges, steering wheel controls, HVAC, switches, and etc. is a complete conversion to LED The interior looks amazing at night with all the LED stuff.

I wanted to post completed pics this weekend, but the weather keeps playing games. So, I decided to just pull the car out and use the garage door to give everybody an idea of how sharp the cut-off line is on the FX-R projectors. I have not adjusted the lighting up/down or left/right, but it appears to be fairly close to right settings. I will do all the aiming by next weekend and finish the final shots and review, stay tuned

Enjoy the teaser.....
