Default Freak or what?

So, my old LT1 used to run pretty good for the mods it had- no one, either in person or on forums (other than CZ28) believed it had the mods it had...

Car was a fully loaded 94' Trans Am (non-GT) auto, with factory 2:73 gears.

I bought it from the original owner, with 44k on it. First time out at the track it ran 13.7@101 on the shitty 225 bald street tires.

With just pacesetters, true duals, PCMforless tune and 275 drag radials it would go 13.3s all day at around 104.5

I never cracked the engine, never touched the trans or rear end. Never had a cold air kit, any weight reduction or suspension/chassis mods. Also never cut better than a 1.9 60' time.

It doesn't seem unreasonable to me, any thoughts?

I don't see why not. After I put headers on my car my best run was at 103.72 MPH. With no tune. Though was a stick and 3.42s. Also best sixty was like 2.3, lol. It has room for improvement.

Actually those times seem pretty common for a well-running car with those mods. Most guys with similar mods who run slower times usually have other issues or run in horrid DA.

I was taking out full bolt-on cars when the only mod to my knowledge was a short ram intake. I would classify that as being a freak.

Dunno. The only car I have ever seen that I considered a freak was my friends 93 yellow Formula. With ONLY a duct tape CAI and SLP LM was going 13.1s @ 106ish, then 11.4s with a 125 shot.

EDIT: Here's a vid, just found it.

My car runs the same exact thing on street tires with the CAI everyone says the same about mine too getting some 3.73s and DR's next looking for 12's and it might have the 3.23's in it because I thought mine had the 2.73 too but ended up having the upgraded 3.23's

good running lt1...is there such a thing anymore? haha j/k

Ram air 95 ta- your buddy needs to put the drugs down or the camera down!

i wouldnt consider 13.7 a freak, thats what these cars SHOULD run. Thats what everyone goes off of, then like me, they go to the track and run consistant 14.4's and get pissed off. I'm not even running 13.7 with a stall and cutout. (13.8)

Most of these cars do go 13.3-ish with headers and what not.

My 96 m6 z28 went 14.0 @ 105(+3000 da) 2.25 60ft (stock good years blow btw), only mods were catback, cai and hypercrap ptm at that time... wich was 10yrs ago lol. It actually was a good et for the conditions that day... I remember there being a couple ls1 SS cars that could only get 13.9... Also a lt1 vette could only get 14.1's. My friend had a 91 1le z28 m5, he only went 14.5... his best was 14.00 earlier that season.

Time in sig from April 1995. Stock M6 Firehawk. I could only imagine how fast it would be if I had actually useds synthetics throughout, drag radials, and free mods.
I think my 60ft was only 2.1

My 127k mile Camaro is hitting 104.5 mph with pacesetters, catback, and mail order tune. Should be hitting mid-low 13s when I get a helmet and can get my launch figured out.

So pretty normal for a good running car. But at this age, many are not. First time I took mine to the track it ran 15s (ignition issues).

I'm the second owner, the original worked for GM, and kept all records of repairs and service, it was never in the records that it was replaced. When I wiped the grime off it, it was the good ole satin green opti. It looked old too. Never had any problems with it though.
