Longtubes will give you better sound and a little more power. They also relocate the 02 sensors just so you are aware.

Unless you are worried about ride height or emmisions don't bother with shorties.

shorties are completely useless..............run a good LT header and you'll be very happy........the only reason to run a shorty like WS Sick said would be because of emissions laws i think MD and CA are the only two though off the top of my head....

Not to discredit shorties, but they are CERTAINLY better than stock. If you're concerned about emissions there's nothing wrong with shitties (besides the awful plug access).

Plug access isnt too terrible with my BBk shorties, a lot better than stock manifolds if you ask me.

But like the others said, Longtubes will yield more more power. If ground clearance or emissions are not a concern, Longtubes are what you want for more power.

nothing wrong with a couple of shorties if you have a couple of turbos up front by their side

what about if you campare better brands to price brands , like hooker shorties to pacesetter long tubes? I was considering getting the pacesetter long tubes , do I get non egr or a emission one and if I get the non egr what else do I need to do to install it?

I dont need to worry about emissions but I would like the easiest install and more power and the pacesetters seems to be a good price

My Hooker LT's installed with no fitment issues at all and have a different sound over other brands. I get a lot of compliments on the sound.

My '93 vette gained 10rwhp and 12rwtq when I replaced the manifolds with shorty headers(1 5/8). I gained another 13rwhp and 17rwtq when I went with 1 3/4 lts. The long tubes gave me power and torque throughout the rpm band, not just peak.

All cars react different to the same mods, I can tell you when we had the shop we Dynoed cars with stock manifolds then with shorties....Results on probably 3-4 cars....2-3 Hp gain, with LT, no less than 10 RWHP..LT's are the way to go..unless as said..

Brave man doing them yourself if you ask me I don't have the patience unless someone who knows what they're doing helped me. The easiest install would be the kooks, but not the race versions be careful. If you're not looking to spend that money though I'm getting coated pacesetters but a buddy is helping (doing) with the install. You only problem may be when you get to the passenger side. But if you can get the car up high enough you should be good. All this is from research and on LT's. I don't know what this shorty? is...

LT's all the way...if you can, delete the EGR, smog pumps, and get the o2 sensors deleted by program from the car and you can get the race headers.
