You need the rack, ls1 accessories, exhaust, car intake manifold, car harness and ecm, ls1 steering shaft and I would suggest refreshing the engine. Corvette regulator also and a tune and transmission to bolt to the new engine torque converter and flexplate if auto.

From what I've been told you can find one from an early 6.0L truck that had a 4L80e. They had a little spacer and longer bolts so that you can keep your current LT1 torque convertor and 4L60e. I bought mine off Ebay, but they are still available from GM too.

There are some threads you should check out in the LS1 conversions section on this site. TheMerv has one that used to be a sticky about going from LT1 to LS1 where several people lists their conversion threads in it including 97BADASS's thread "going to the dark side".

I just did heads/cam/intake/TB/RR on my full-bolt on 97 SS with the help of a good friend, but we didn't snap the first picture. LOL I am strongly considering doing a build thread on my rearend project. I have snapped a few pics along the way. It's pretty much down to just finding time to install it now.

The following is the motor i bought and comes with all you see in the images.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/130632582794...84.m1497.l2649

as you can see the flexplate on the image. can the same one be used with the 4L60e. about the torque converter i will change it to a diff stall.

Those are the ones I was referring to. I ended up staying LT1 'cause there is no way I could afford to go LSX and keep my t56. Just finished heads/cam/RR/intake/TB/11.5:1CR. Should be in the 400 rwhp range. Think I need to upgrade my injectors before I lean on it too much.

the list is the following parts i am aware i need.

LS1 oilpan
LS1 Flexplate
LS1 K-Member and Motor mounts.
LS1 Rack and Pinion and steering shaft.
LS1 Filter/Regulator.
LS1 Intake and ThrottleBody.
LS1 Headers.

Im just curious about the WireHarness. Should i be able to just splice in the LT1 connectors to the LQ4 or do i do that to an LS1 harness.

I guess i will find out when i actually start working on it. Will not buy everything at once.
Will work my way around it. Im hoping some stuff i an do without.

Im also worried about the emissions. How will that work or do i need a Tune.
Damn you Texas !!
