Default Need opinion on car

I sold my 97 z28. In the end didn't want to sink money into it and still cosmetically have a POS. Looking at a 94 z28 auto with light mods.
The big thing is 19X,XXX miles. It's supposedly all highway with a 100 some miles drive to and from work. I haven't seen the car yet in person (going next week) but it's incredibly clean from the pictures, looks new. shorty headers, catless, catback, suspension work, trans cooler and temp gauge. Stock pcm never been tuned. This WOULDN"T be my DD but something to fill my fbody void. My biggest thing is i wanted ttops but this is a hard top the deal is great though i could buy almost 3 of my previous z28's if it's as clean as it looks and runs good I feel I should get it. All i'd really want to do is possibly put LT's on it and remove and remaining emissions junk. Forgot to mention all the seals have been redone, car doesn't leak a bone and as a rebuilt tranny.

What are you asking? There is no pictures or price on the car your talking about so an opinion would be worthless

You said trans cooler so it's an auto, I'd steer clear unless it's under $1000 personally. Basically you'd have an entire drivetrain as a ticking time bomb, and might as well get a roller and put in a motor and trans and rear. You can pick up lt1s so cheap these days. If it was an m6 it would fetch $1500

I have a feeling once this summer hits with gas prices going the way they are you won't be far off.

My cousin just picked up a 95 quasar blue metalic Z28 for $1300 (asking 2k)

132k
t tops
auto
2.73 posi disc rear
gray cloth

Solid body, no rust, no accidents, clean paint, clean interior, good tires, brakes, etc, female owner, runs and drives well. Needed a radio and passenger window motor,

Just my 2 cents

He's asking 2k.
But now I found a 84 camaro with a gm crate 350. Auto again but asking 1500 thinking he'll sell lower. So I still have fishing to do, waiting for a steal under 2k pretty much.

They are out there. Find the older owners who took care of them and want to sell because of gas

really? because of the body or car? didn't think it was that bad... and the body would look brand new within a month, just saying. Seemed like the best deal so far.
There's another 97 camaro lt1 with 6X,XXX miles stored away for years owned by an older lady then sold and stored for a few years by her neighbor looks brand new, the seller wants alot though. sigh

My opinion on 3rd gens is:

85 and up
Ground effect
Iroc Z, Z28, RS
No hard top
TPI or TBI (if RS)
5.7 or 5.0 if 5 speed
No red exterior or red interior

If that car is your style go for it. But for the price you can find a decent LT1 car.

Im gonna say because the body. He mentons he has a door and 1/4 togo with the sale. That tells me alot with whats going on with the body. You'd be better off with the first car you mentioned and freshening up the drivetrain then doing a full body resto on a 84. Any pics o fthe first one you talked about? A clean body and interior is a better selling point to me with a slipping trans then a Joe Dirt car with some unknown 350 84 w/ a borla exhaust that looks like a relic
