Buddy has a 96 Z28 that starts but after 15mind or so of running turns off. But will restart after it cools down and do it again. Any ideas on what the problem is? He replaced fuel pump already and has new plugs and wires. Thanks.

This was when my opti went. Are you getting any trouble codes?
Not saying just go ahead and spend all that time and money replacing it but if the other ignition components dont pan out, ICM, coil ect then I'd look there. Make sure autozone test the icm at least 5 or 6 times if you have them test it.

I am having the same problem with 93 LT1 Trans Am.
I have replaced the Opti with a MSD vented previous Opti was a AC Delco non vented, timing chain, ecm,pcm every thing I can think of
