I'm completely sick of my exhaust. Right now my setup is Hooker long tubes, y-pipe with no cats, and a Loudmouth2 catback exhaust.
Since I did my cam swap, its been at the point where its so loud it annoys me, and I like loud cars. Its just too much, especially in heavy traffic when there's cops and pedestrians around, too obnoxious.
I'm not going with another catback exhaust, I've decided I want to put together a custom x-pipe from Summit and was wondering what mufflers you guys recommend? I'm leaning towards Hooker Maximum Flows, as they've got the same WOT scream as the Loudmouth exhaust, but they're much much quieter at idle and regular driving. The Loudmouth2 has a very annoying drone to it, especially when just cruising around and the idle sounds really good but its just way too loud.
Anyone running Hooker Max Flows? Or have opinions/recomendations on other mufflers?

I ran a moroso spiral flow in place of LM resonator on pacesetter LT, ORY and Lm1. I loved it, nice and deep sounding, when getting on it it just sounded right, no rasp, no cackle, no pop, just a nice smooth sound. Might be my 108lsa cam now, but the magnaflow I have no pops more under accel then that did

Definitely go with Magnaflow, there straight through mufflers are actually very quiet but with no cats a y pipe and headers youll have plenty of sound when you want it. If you dont want the catback go with the round mufflers summit or jegs will probly have the best prices, not alot of room under the car before the axle though.

Thanks for the input everyone-- I know the Loudmouth exhaust are pretty much the loudest exhaust there is unless you run open headers, I was just being an *** when I made my thread title.
Glad you guys mentioned Magnaflow, I completely forgot about them. I've heard some LT1's with Magnaflow mufflers and they've sounded really good. So far nothing bad about the Hooker Max Flows, either. Looks like I've got it narrowed down to those two brands, works for me.

I have the loudmouth 1 with long tubes / off road y pipe and I have never heard a set up thats louder. Its even louder than my buddys car with an open cut out. The resonator resonates like a ****. Id say go with a catted y pipe or magnamouth.

If I were you I wouldn't get rid of your slp catback. Just swap in magnaflow bullets or another brand bullet. Make it a LOT quieter and still sound good. Not to mention a lot cheaper.

Put one of these in your "I" pipe and it will be quieter. Magnaflow 14419. My car has GMMG which is known for getting too loud with headers and ORY. The Magnaflow calms it down till about 3K RPM then it gets really loud. Its perfect. Any Magnaflow I have ever had works that way. The stay fairly quiet at low RPM then come alive up top.

At wot the loudmouth is way , waaay louder than any hooker muffler. You could get the hooker max flow and add an e-cut out tho.

If you want a big decrease in sound, 100% put on a Magnaflow catback, true duals are A. more expensive and B. typically much louder.
My 383 car is LOUD as ****. CC306, LT's, ORY. I went from true duals turned down before the axle to a Magnaflow catback and it's night and day. So much nicer sounding with the Magnaflow, it's still mean as **** and loud when you get on it, but it makes idle and cruise much more bearable.
On my bolt on car after I just did some research I'm going Magnamouth. LT's, ORY, LM1 catback. Swapping in the Magnaflow bullet makes it nice and deep, slightly quieter, and eliminates much of the rasp.
