Found these on my 10 year old MSD 8.8s

I bet that's why it's missing again

What wires should I order up?

Taylors are cheaper than MSDs and Ive had no issues with them. I believe they were 8.2mm last I bought them, 6 years ago they were 8mm

Ive runs MSDs and Magnecor 8.5mm with no issues. Only issue with the bigger wires is they do not fit in the factory wire holders because of the bigger wire. Either isnt an issue just make sure you have a lot of zip ties on hand to route and anchor off so there is ZERO chance of burning through wires. You already got heat shield sleeves so thats another good thing.

I've had my Taylor wires in the stock location for over 25k with no issues.

The MSDs lasted this long why not just get another set?

In my experience the MSD are a nicer wire than Taylor, I wouldn't claim anything is a magic bullet though. Hell I gave half a thought to trying stockers next time I need wires.

Thanks I stuck with MSD. And they are 8.5, not 8.8 like I thought. Age. Does things.

I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some other awesome brand since I've been out of the game for so many years.

OK the opti ends are going on great
None and I mean one of the plug ends will snap on. They "look" find but I don't get it. The old wires snap on and off no problem. none of the new boots snap on. they come off real easy.

Any tricks/ideas? What is the most common problem for this?

I didn't think this was rocket science...

I switched from MSD to Taylors. No issues at all. Kept mealting the boot and pulling the wire from the boot with MSD's. Autozone wires are good also, plus they have a warranty. Can't beat that for 23 bucks.

I've had good luck with the Jegs brand wires and their return policy is fantastic.

I also like the Accel Extreme 9000, pretty much the only Accel product I like!

I agree...I've been using Moroso wires on my car for 10+ years, with no issues at all.

OK I got them on. Big miss is gone, might still have a little miss. I'm not sure.

Less than 24 hours later boots are burning. Should I cover them, or do header wrap, or both?

If the headers are mild steel, I would not wrap them. That supposedly will accelerate their deterioration.
