Check/double check/triple check your plug wire routing as well as any burnt/damaged wires.

Not unless you go OTVC. Just not enough room to safely route wires that size in stock location. Backfiring during acceleration usually points to a timing issue and one of the most popular symptoms of this are crossed or damaged plug wires. Have you done anything with the valvetrain before this happened?

No not the valve train but I am camming it as soon as the parts get in (hopefully this weekend) so I will probably get over the valve covers. Any good brands? And could it be vacuum lines? We had the ones on the Opti backwards and when we swapped those back it helped some

Mine does this when going wot from a steady cruise if I don't downshift. I atribute it to not having the o2 sensors hooked up correctly. Both of the front ones had their wiring burnt from when the old owner insalled the headers. I sort of repaired the wiring, but think i have a bad connection. Sometimes it will run awesome...then you hit a big enough bump to rattle the wires and it runs like *** for a while.

Speed_Dmn24 or whatever his screen name bought FireCore wires to clear a misfire he had and it worked. I don't think vacuum lines would cause what you're experiencing unless it was a pretty substantial leak.

All you can do is try, Looks like you replaced most of the ignition already so this might be the last bit to get you going again.
