Whats wrong with the GTO? People need to move on from this "retro" trend. Just because it doesnt look exactly like an 87 GN doesnt mean it shouldnt be a Grand National. Its an all black, RWD, turbo 6 cylinder made by Buick. If they didnt call it a GN, people would be bitching "why didnt they just call it a Grand National?"

Just the pussification of another name plate.

My father has a Grand National. The car is raw. No power windows or doors. No heated seats, nav or nanny controls. When he gets on it, all you can hear from the inside of the car are the tires and exhaust.

The new one will be watered down with weight and a over-bearing computer. Because of all of the sound deadening, the car will weigh 4k easy. Also, the Grand national was never a four door. That is just insulting

There is speculation, because it will use the ATS driveline, or at least some of it, that it will weigh roughly the same as the ATS' 3400ish curb weight, which is supposedly what the GN's of old weighed. I'm with you though, I don't believe it. I think it will be an overpriced, slow and heavy pig regardless of engine. I think GM will be banking on the name for a hefty sticker price, and yes, if no two door is offered, what is the point...
