ok, look. i have a formula, non ram air. if you pop my hood and look at it, there is a small portion in the front of the hood, right around where the latch is, that comes down blocking a little bit of the airbox. nothing major since the air isnt supposed to flow there anyway.
now lets take a ws6. pop the hood and look at it. the same piece that is on mine, is there as well. and look at the nostrils as well. im failing to see how it is 'more direct' in an ls1..? where in the lt1 ram air, the whole top of the airbox is exposed for air to flow...
and yes, i realize my description wasnt too acurate...but im in the process of searching for pics.

LT1 looks more direct to me, there are no baffles from what i can see, that alone would help, but the ratings maybe the same, but the ls1 was underated quite a bit, they usually put down there supposedly BHP at the wheels where his lt1 probably puts down 265, this should help http://www.supercars.net/Comp?source...List=2194-2191 but remember that the ls1 ratings arent accurate
