Steven Fereday, also local guy here, went 7.9s on a 398 LS1 built by LME

The chances of anyone in this section of going 8's is slim to none. Lets at least give realistic reasons.

I have known Rick a few years, I knew him when he was converting that car from a very potent deep 9 sec 396/Nitrous car to the turbo set up. The cost alone is more than most people can afford/willing to spend, you could easily spend $100K+ trying to duplicate that car/race set up with the trailer, tools, spare parts, motors, glides, slicks and so on. Isnt cheap.

Now mind you I love my LS1, but the LT1 has such a deep, mean rumble even at idle that my car will NEVER carry. It's got that sick, "I'm going to rip your f*cking head off and shart down your throat* tone to it.

i love my 95.

driving a lt1 is like getting punched in the face by mike tyson wearing cinder blocks for gloves.

i love both the lt1 and ls1 and here soon will own one of each.

at the end of the day we all drive either vettes or fbods and should be happy we dont drive some shitbox rice mobile with a wing and fart can and random stickers and neons on/in it with the far off thought that it will run 10s with a homemade CAI and a "highflow muffler"

Not going to make me one difference if they do or dont. If they do I will be happy for them. If they dont I will still support them. My setup is the same just about as strong as tonys. The only diff is he has a single plane and lower c/r. If anything You will see me in the 9's before the end of the year and mabey the 8's if I do what I'm planning without blowing up due to the crappy gas here so before making that comment dont forget I'm on your team but not all team mates share the same opinion. :insert smiley here:

BTW less than 1% of the people on this board will do 8's or even 9's. Do the math. It's not even some people goals to go that fast and why should it be. Nothing wrong with having a 11 second LT1 which is pretty obtainable unless youre the tard that tried to do it with a vert (refering to myself)

People get to hard off on the boards with XYZ going 9s and think its the norm when it isnt. If a lot of people would go to the track instead of the boards they would see out side of peoples sigs its a whole different ball game. How ever I dont disrepect any one that doesnt drive their own cars, if they arent comfortable racing it and want some one else to, fine by me, better than going out scared and wrecking the car first hit out.

Bottom line LT1's and LS1's are bad ****'s and ford knows it from 93-97 the LT1 owned the GT's 97- 2002 LS1 took over with the spankin. Don't get me wrong there are some bad mustangs out there. You know the funny thing is how LT1's are pounded on all the time. You'll here the some dude with an 03 or newer Gt or a cobra saying how he spanked an LT1 (stock for stock). You know paying almost $30,000 plus for a car I would really hope that car would beat a 10 year old car. All is fair in love and racing

Because it looks like this

I mean, c'mon... LT1 TA's look killer IMO. Sleak lines, agressive, but not overkill
like the LS1 body styles.......... Just my 2 Cents

Plus GMMG+LT's+Cam+LT1 = audible sex.

(nothing against you LS1 guys! )

She loves riding to Sonic in the revived beast now, nothing like 500 N/A ponies to the ground in an LT1

I have nothing against LS1s though...

Sounds familair!
