Looking to do this budget or are you willing to spend a little more now and be able to reuse some items when the mod bug bites again later?
Personally if I were in your shoes I would look at the "do it once" aspect and get 1.6 Comp ProMagnums NON-SA 7/16 , get new rocker studs 7/16", and GM guideplates. The stock 94 pushrods are hardened so you can reuse them for this mild setup and the LT4 springs are cheap and would work well for 1.6s on a stock cam they are not as well suited to the HOT cam as one might think though.
If and when you do a more serious build pushrod length will need to be checked and may very well vary from stock hence not recommending going all out on them right now.
If looking to stay cheap I had good luck with ProForm rockers on a ZZ4 cam which is about halfway between stock and the HOT cam. Get them in 1.6 SA and a set of LT4 springs and you can do this project for well under $250, I wouldn't trust these rockers on a more serious cam though. I put like 50K on mne though 30+K of that with the cam.

We also need to know how much power you are putting down. In many cases the $30 hardened pushrods are just fine, which people dont seem to realize.

Well then your right at the border line with pushrods. 94's actually come with hardened pushrods stock so you should be fine. This also depends on mileage. Im having a H/C package being put on right now and I should be around 400rwhp, and my car is a 94 like yours, but has only 60k miles, so I stayed with the stock ones. Some people might want a little more reinsurnace and buy fresh new Comp hardened pushrods ($30) but they are pretty much the same as what you'd have now. Then again you could always spend $100+ for a chromoly set which is alittle overkill IMO.

You are going to need to check pushrod length anyway with all the chang3es happening it is not wise to asume the stock length is still right though you may find that to be the case.

The later stock pushrods work just fine. And don't waste your money on the 7/16 studs. You will need to be running a lot more valve spring than the LT4's to have issues with either.
Good Luck,

If just doing rockers and springs with no future intent to go further I would agree no need to consider the larger hardware, had this detail be clearer in the first place I think the replies would be more in agreement.
