Default what can i do to get more punch off the line?

i tried using search but there's so much random stuff lately and plus i'd like everything to be condensed into one thread.

i don't really feel like touching my motor anymore, yet i want to be able to get better ETs and have more of a torque rush off the line and from a roll. so, i've decided i either want to free up some weight, or touch upon some areas that will help me keep the tires on the ground. i don't want drag radials and i don't want drag suspension. i don't want to change gears either. what do you recommend i should do that will help me get a little extra boost? will SFCs help me (even though they add weight)? how about lighter chassis components? which components will benefit the greatest? how about aluminum driveshaft? any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated guys and TIA!

almost forgot... basically, i want to have my car as lightweight as possible, without stripping the interior and totally redoing my chassis. i don't want to delete the rear seats or radio or spare tires/jack or anything like that. if i have women or friends in the car, i still want everything to look stock, and have them feel comfortable. afterall, this is still a DD

you don't want to run DR's, Gears, or any kinnda suspension work??

You could lighten up the car I guess, but you might have to gut it to "Feel" a difference...

Don't want:

The only option you have left your self is NITROUS, if you want to stay within your criteria.

You can build the suspension without having a "Drag only" setup. But you will still need a good tire to hook it up. What is your reason for not wanting drag radials. NItto's still have good treadwear and wet traction.

Your Options:
LCA's, TQ Arm, Panhard Rod, Adjustible Shocks, Springs, K-member, A Arms, Lighter wheel/tire combo.

Honestly there is a price to pay to play and if you want to go faster then your only option is nitrous or a procharger. but hey even then you will get breakage. IMO if you dont wanna gut the car (rear seats, spare tire/jack etc) then just be happy with what you have and just drive it.

i want to lighten up the car. i'm done with touching the motor. the imports got it right, with them being so lightweight and all. so, what components can i replace that ill have the biggest advantage? i'm not talking about nitrous or forced induction either. i'm not looking to get into the 11's here. i just want a better hp/lbs ratio.

You would have to gut ur car for you to feel a differnce, no A/C, no power steering, no cruise, tubular suspension (K-member, upper/lower A-arms), fiber glass hood, no power windows, no power locks, loose the glass and replace with plexi glass. For every 100 lbs they say you loose 1 tenth of a second. Do the math. Sorry bud you car is gonna stay over 3300lbs the least to say. Loosing what I mentioned will not give you the HP/weight ratio you want. You are comapring cars that weight less than 2700 lbs to a car that weighs 3500 lbs.

Oh loose those rims and tires, get some bogart rims or some drag lite rims

Exactly what he said, your not leaving yourself with any options except nitrous. There isnt anything wrong with running drs on a daily, I mean **** I dd my h/c/bolton/geared/ car on drag drs . And why are you against gears? A set of 3.73's would give you some pull especially down low with the only downside being possibly a little more gear whine. What you're asking for is like asking to be as jacked and as strong as Arnold Schwarzenegger was but only working out for one hour once a week. You need to rethink your options if you want to reach your goal.

Dude, I know you said no gear change, but if you want more punch out of the hole get some 4.11 gears. The lag you have now up to 2000K RPM will be greatly reduced.

It will feel like an entirely different car. Definitely one of my favorite mods.

Why are you opposed to this, you wont find a single person who is unhappy with 4.11's with the M6?
