Looks like a decent cam. I was looking at the wrong lobes before.
One of Bret Bauer's posts about the XFI profiles:
"Mike, How high you want to spin this thing???? There are some issues with the XFI lobes and RPM because you can't get enough spring in there to control them over the nose.

I have that cam in my 383, lopes nicely and seems to keep pulling. But the motors not done with break-in yet and I not tuned either, so I couldnt tell you much more about it.
BTW, I have the beehive springs and since its in a 383 I doubt I'll have rpm/valve float issues.

There are 3 different beehive springs you can get. Most get the 26-918 which is the LS1 spring and it fits nicely in the stock LT1 head. The 26-915 can only be bought as a kit to upgrade the stock LS1 valvetrain and I assume it's not as good as the 918. The 26-120 seems to be the only beehive spring that has enough seat pressure to handle the xfi lobes, even though supposedly they were designed for all 3. Maybe call comp and see what they say. If you already have springs and they aren't the 26-120, maybe look somewhere else. If you don't have springs and the 26-120 will fit on a stock head, I'd say go with that. If you call comp, let us know what they say.
EDIT: I found the 915 springs on summit, but they have even less seat pressure than the 918s. Just something to think about.

Im running the 26918's... As recommended by Comp and my engine builder.
I dont know how high you guys are planning to turn your motors, but Im not planning on going any higher than 2600ish rpm.
Theyve got to have enough pressure for me, as the engine builder built this beast for a planned 15psi of boost.

That's the cam I got. Installed and running, not tuned yet. Nice lope, but very smooth idle, idled fine on mostly stock tune.
I'm using the Patriot Gold dual springs for LT1 kit with the TI retainers and 10 degree locks. I have Manley valves, with .250 tip, so I needed to use -.050 locks. This brought my seat pressure up a bit, more than I really liked, but had the heads on the cat by the time I noticed the clearance issure with the SA rockers that required the -.050 locks. Installed height is reduced with these locks, so I am at 170 seat and 320+ open. We will see how this works out.
Have not tuned, don't know power or if will need 30 pound injectors yet.
Have not gone WOT yet (no tuning) so don't know how it'll do there yet.
Will post later on this. PM me to remind me.

That's the purpose of WBO2; I'll get to see duty cycle and A/F ratio as we raise the revs, and see where the injectors and/or stock fuel pump starts to become a problem long before engine damage can occur. At which point we stop, switch fuel components as needed, and then go on....
Help to have friends with a dyno...

Well ive found some 42's for only $30 more than a brand new set of Accel 30's. So could i keep the pressure down on my fuel pressure regulator to make them work like 36's? If not I can get a set of 30's for next to nothing.

You weren't gonna run that cam on the stock tune right? So yes, get those if you like the deal, it will give you plenty of room to grow.
