Default LS1 induction on LT1 Z

Can you make a LS1 induction system work on a LT1 Z with the factory hood?

IE if you do some grinding and cutting will it work or do you need a ram air or cowl hood?

They do exist! Did you make that radiator shroud yourself? It looks good.

Jim Layed the Radiator back and we built new Radiator holders. We will have to get some more pic's. He also made a thin cover that holds the filter up and makes it look nicer

BTW he is using a 85MM MAF. if you look close enough you will see the wires on the driver side

Yea, I had to cut the stock Hood, there was no way it was going to fit under it, without some major cutting somewhere. Someone said that they got it in without any cutting on a stock Z28, and I called Bull ****..
A friend has a Cowl that we are goin to see if it will fit on it, that's what will be needed to cover it up. I got it to look semi-decent the way it currently is. People look at it, and are like that thing isn't factory. I have to cover it up, so that way it's not too obvious.

I have seen a few people with the ls1 style intake with out cutting the stock hood. They had to do some modifications to the mounting of the intake but it worked. I think I saw that on here.

I like it cause it adds a lil spice to the boring lt1 hoods. and its not a hackjob with really rough edges and cockeyed lines, it was done really really well IMO
