No cutting or modifications to the car itself of anykind. Only cutting done was to the hood to make it functional, the hood comes closed off.

COST
The hood brand new runs about $700-$800 new if you go through SLP. I got lucky and found one used on ebay for about half of that.

The air box kit I found at the ws6 store for $275. Everywhere else I looked was $308

The K&N filter was not included and was another $60.00 So I spent about $650 all together. IMO this was a very worth while mod, car seems to have a lot more breath in the upper RPMs.

You got a little more access to air than I do, but the concept is still there. They do pull a hell of alot better in the higher RPM's. I just got mine figured out to where I can drop it under a stock hood, so I might get an SS Hood, and run with that.

Finally figured out? As in, something different than your other posts up to this point? How much cutting? I'm real interested in doing the lid to mine and going with sunoco hood or something but, not sure if I want to part with my SS hood. Would love to know how much total, ya had to hack it up to fit under stock hood.

I like the Ultra Z hood, different and sharp.

I have a VFN Sunoco Hood coming, but I don't think switching to a lid is really worth it performance wise.

My Moroso and TF Elbow work fantastic.
Nicely done though, the lid and that hood will go great together, congrats lethal.

lethal, have you thought about cutting your airbox out all the way instead of just having those small strips for the air to get in?seems like you could get way better airflow if you did.

looks good eitherway though

Merv, did you have to modify it to the same degree as Jimbob did to make it fit? Getting really interested now if it will fit under a stock hood.

The only thing holding me back is the damn Bellow..other than that, it's just about there. What have some of you guys used for Bellows, besides the SLP one?

Thats why I was wondering how Merv is doing it.
