Summit will ship the LT1 and LT4 Edelbrock manifold on 1/26/07

like i posted in the other edelbrock lt4 manifold thread the price seems high and if im not mistaking the lt4 intake brand new from gm cost around 400 dollars

I'd consider paying that if it were polished, or better yet a composite intake. Until I see proven performance gains on a relatively stock LT1 I think I'm going to hold off.

Yeah I know but the only problem is GM doesn't sell them anymore. I remember just last year you could buy them from Summit.

Why not just port your stock intake manifold? Seems a hell of a lot cheaper for the same gains...

I think that the biggest advantage with this manifold will be that it will run cooler. You may not see a bunch of gains on a dyno, but I think you will see a gain in ET (especially if you ice it down).

well theres a gap underneath the main runner, so there should be a cooling difference right there, but not by much as the heat from the engine's lifter valley goes up.


anyone wanna try fitting an LS1/6 manifold onto the LT1?
