There are some good ones but you wont find them at Walmart for $2 a bottle.

The Techron is about the best readily available one but don't overdo it as it can be hard on plastics, which is most of our fuel system.

Mailorder, Shaeffer's Neutra(slight chance of finding it locally) is a good stabalizer cleaner and a product called Fuel Power made by Lube Control is good both are by the gallon and $25+ before shipping, dosage rates are low so a bottle last a good long time.

The oil forum that gets linked too when folks ask what oil too run has the best info I have found on cleaners.

my advice is take it to the dealer or other shop and have them do a professional cleaning. They have a machine that uses vacuum to pull the dirt off of the back side of the injectors. It will geatly improve idle quality.I did a cleaning on my car at school and it took out a "shake" that I had.

ok thanks, i added a 3 dollar bottle yesterday i think it was STP. i wasnt expecting to feel a difference at all, i was just hoping to prolong my injector life. btw, all of my gas lines are hard lines or braided lines, so is there any plastic left in my system?

Run the tank very low, put in two bottles of techron and filler up, run it dry...works very well.

the stuff you dump in your gas tank does nothing, the only way to get your injectors and fuel rail clean is with the pressurized fuel injector cleaners that you hook up to the fuel rail. most dealerships do those. where I work, i'm not going to mention the name, we do a fuel injection service that uses a drip bottle and you pull a vac line and let the vaccum suck the liquid in; in my opinion and all the other techs it does nothing at all. its just part of the scheduled matinence for alot of cars and its a easy .7 flat time.
