i can do kansas might also bring few of my friends with lt1's.need a date hopefully in oct. or nov.OUTLAWZ mabe we can make the trip hit me up.i know you from the track up in sac.remember the two big guys that helped you adjust your valves at the track a few years back
MOst definitely if it's in KC or whatever i'd be making the trip. Just as long as it ain't west coast... St Louis is a long *** haul as well. But either way the west coasters would hopefully definitely be doing some car of wagon train that way if anyone had trailer problems, etc we'd have some backup. So once the stuff is all finalized we can start figuring out logistics of trailering our cars out there....
I already talked to my engine guy and the person who is scaling/tuning my car and they said wherever it is I could trailer my car and they would buy plane tickets and help me crew the car so all I have to worry about is driving.... This car is getting too complicated to do everything on my own....

I vote Bowling Green. The track is awesome. They have the GN nationals there and people come from all over to that. Why not do it there? The stands are covered for the spectators so they're not in the direct sun. I could go on about that track but I won't. My second vote is Memphis. Third is St. Louis.

What about having 2 events, one more toward the east coast and one out west? Sure it would be more work but I think a lot more people would be able to attend that way so it might be worth it. With east/west most people would only have to drive a short distance, whereas if there is just one event in a middle state then everyone who doesn't live in the middle will have to come a long way.

The most expensive part will be the hotels, unless I find a way to camp out or something. But the really sucky part is that my wife doesn't drive with the trailer on the truck, so I am stuck driving the whole time.

It will be hard for many of us to make this event with the long distances and gas prices but I am hoping everyone will look past that and try to make it anyways. This might just be the one and only LTX event of this size ever put together with this many heavy hitters attending. History in the making. Your sacrifices will be worth it guys!!!!!! It will be worth the long haul.
Its not going to be in everyones backyard. Its not in mine and I am one of the ones organizing this event. Sure I would love for it to be in Texas but I wanted to be fair to all and find a centralized location. I will say this I am 90% sure this will be in March instead of this October. So start saving your pennies and get your rides ready to roll out.

Well I was hoping to meet some of you guys this year. I wanted to con some info out of everyone to see what is working and what isn't. Before I start my stroker build. But I will just have to use the info I have now.
I was pushing a stock short block into the tens this year. Next year I want to try to get into the nines. I will still try to make it in march. I'm just not sure how far along it will be.

about 1800 round trip for me. Only 13 hours one way. I can make that in a day no problem. I will be there baring unforeseen circumstances. Should have the car nice and tuned in by then and hopefully will have a 355 gm headed 6 speed in the 9s all motor. I think I will still be bringing a knife to a gun fight though. . Oh well..just so tanner brings lots of Canadian molsen for me to drink I will be good
