PCM for less tune

PCM for less tune
So, I've been wanting to get my car tuned, since it's still on the factory tune with headers, no cat, cai, and full aftermarket exhaust. There's really no place around here to get my car tuned, the hypertech programmers are really expensive, and I plan on changing some things around later this year anyways. I was just wondering how well people like their PCM for less tuned PCM's that they got. And also, I'm a little confused by the pricing on their site. Is the total price, after you return your stock PCM and get the core refund, just $50 + shipping costs? If that's all it's going to cost, I think I may just do that until I do more extensive mods and actually have the car dyno tuned. Or is it $175, then another $125 added that is refunded later? http://www.pcmforless.com/index.php?...d=44&Itemid=40

Oh, I was looking at it completely wrong the first time. Then, after I posted the question, I understood. $175 really isn't all that bad of a price though. How well do their tunes work? I'd still be interested in having it as a cheap alternative, for now, if they work pretty well.

I had my car dyno tuned by Bryan Herter from PCMforLess. It's seems ok, I think some idling issues could have been worked out a little better but other than it seems to be working.

There's only one place I know that does tuning around here. And it's still over an hour away. I also don't want to spend all the money to get it dynotuned, when I'm going to keep modding. I just need something now to take care of the mods that I already have. It's running a little rich since I have headers and no cat on a factory tune. I'm saving the dyno tune for after I cam it.

I guess I just have to listen to some more feedback to really decide. I think I'm mostly leaning towards MadZ28 though, since it's $50 cheaper and the guys who have had some input about them, have had very good results. All I really want to know now, is, if I do end up changing from the custom 3.5" catback system that I have no it now, to an SLP Loudmouth system, will I need the PCM to be retuned, or should it be fine without sending it back in to be retuned?
