Mine had 110 and used to be supercharged and it was spotless.

I just run good oil and ocassionally do an oil flush. My buddy said my 110K LT1 looked better under the valve covers and in the lifter valley than his 30K 2.4 from his scion.

looks a little worse than mine did after 80k...

lol, funny thing, I just pulled my 132k mile TBI 350 apart, and you could eat off the internals of the motor in it.

my lt1? I totally forgot about the 2 lower head bolts in the heads because they were so covered-up with oil sludge!

mmm....

Looks like he has been running some Pennzoil/Quaker State/ or Havoline (kinda doubt the last one here, it is usually hardened like carbon deposits) engine oil. I've seen alot of used motors and everyone that has looked like that, likes one of the above mentioned oils.

Looks like there was a little gasket leakage around the intake ports, pulling oil into the intakes....

I run Shell and or Havoline oil, whichever is "on special" at my local parts house. I change it every 2000 miles, and I have only 70,000 miles on the car, but mine looks NOTHING like that. I know because I just put another intake gasket set on it.....every 3 years, as the RTV gets cooked by the EGR tube.

when i did the intake gasket on mine at 140,000k It was clean as can be. Thats sludge is from lack of maintenance or abuse.

I have always used Quaker State and I pulled the valve covers not that long ago and had the intake off and it was spotless. My old 91 Camaro has 220,000 miles on it and still going my dad has that car now. I have always used Quaker State on that car also.

Horribly maintained car, I do not care what the owner says its maintenance history was.

I tore down my engine at around 155k on the odo and the lifter valley was almost spotless. After the rebuild, 3k miles in everything still looked as it did when assembled - bot the heads, and intake.

These things last forever with proper maintanence.

Yea that is bad. Lack of frequent oil changes will do that. I actually did an oil change on a vehicle and it was coming out like thick mud it was so bad. Didn't feel bad for them though, persons fault they don't take care of their vehicles.
