Please don't do it. I have 3" true duals with glasspacks. It sounds OK at WOT but I hate how it sounds cruising. It doesn't sound like a truck but it definately doesn't sound great. I only got them cause I was poor at the time and spent like $15 each at summit for em hoping that they would mellow it out a bit. I'm planning on Moroso Spiral Flows sometime soon to replace them. I have a few WOT vids if you really wanna hear what it sounds like.

Really......this is why I quit listening to all the sheep on these forums.
There is nothing wrong with glasspacks. I think they sound great, old school? yes they are. I run purple horny header mufflers dumped just under the seats. True duals of course.
I wish my Dad still had his old Catalina, it had glasspacks and was one of the sweetest sounding V8s I have ever heard.
And there was a time when F bodies and glasspacks went to together like peas and carrots.
And for the record, I love the way Flowmasters sound too.

Face it, they are cheap and they sound good when done correctly. Don't let thier association with the disco era deter you.

I bought my car because it is associated with mullets an rednecks WTH. No way this classy mullet will be riding in an import. I love glasspacks mean an obnoxious but this can backfire on you while !. talking in the car
2. draws major attention to your vehicle by the cops
3. most women hate the loudness/ so your already sharp looking car isnt turning heads properly

well unfortunately i have a glasspack on my car, but it is with a muffler also... my cat was hollowed out previously, and i hate the sound of a car that cackles and doesn't sound good at all, which was what i had... the guy left all the stock piping on there and bolted up a aftermarket muffler, and in the process i guess hollowed the cat out... and it sounded like absolute hell IMO... so... i first tried putting an ls1 cat on my car, which failed miserably because it clogged in like a month and a half... but i think it was because it got dented because the shop that put it on for me gave me like 3 inches of clearance with it... so, when i took the car back to get it looked at and try to get a new exhaust system somewhat, instead they told me that they just wanted to put a piece of straight pipe in its place and see if i liked it... and it was the most obnoxious redneck thing ive ever heard from a vehicle ive owned... so, i figured since this summer i am planning on getting headers and a new 3'' catback system that i just needed to quiet it down for a while... so what i did was have them put a 18'' glasspack in place of the cat and leave the muffler on... so it actually sounds alright now... it still has that 2/5'' factory popping and cackling sound when you rev it up, but its alright for right now... all my friends like the sound of it, but im still def. not satisfied until i get some headers
