When we started this project we were hoping that we could run the IHRA A/FIA index with stock internals. We just finished first round of eliminations at the Farmington Divisional and ran a new best!

1.415 60'

4.415 330'

7.097 @ 94.540

(Needless to say, we lost on a breakout!)

The race weight was 3030 lbs and the DA was 800 ft.

This is by far one of the coolest ideas I have ever seen. Im 18 myself and being the car fanatic I am, I would have loved doing something like this. The experience and knowledge gained from having a mentor like that would be so amazing. That beats self-teaching anyday!

Congrats on the project. That is truely awesome.

Daren what size rear tires are you running and did you need to modify the wheel well to get them to fit? Oh and what size rims are they on.
Thanks
Mike

We run a Hoosier 30" x 9" Radial slick (94" circ.). The kids are mounted on 10" rims, mine are on 8" rims. To make them fit you will need to cut the wheelwells front and back. I would not recomend running them with a stick. There are lots of Stock Eliminator bias-ply tires available for a stick that would work better. With an automatic the radials are worth about .10 over a bias-ply slick.

It depends how much they grow. How tight are they now?

They are not on the car yet. They are mounted on the rims just havent had the time to get them on and start messing with them. Trying to get all the info together before I go at it. Even though they are 28x11.5s they are actually a touch smaller than a 28x10.5 ET Drag

Mike, just as a gauge I had to cut my wells in the rear to fit 28" MT DR that don't grow hardly any if at all.

I see a little cutting to get those bad boys to fit right.

Every car is different so you might get lucky!

I hope so! Depending on how I feel after work I might test fit them real fast.
