This is mostly a Saturday morning project. We will be building the fuel injection tomorrow and installing the torque arm.

This morning the kids built the fuel injection.

The finished intake (Casting #138, stock injectors, stock throttle body, fuel rails modified for 8 AN fuel lines, Accell harness, and block-off plates installed).

Installed on the motor.

Does the throttle blades have to be opened that much or is it just a starting point?

Good eye! The throttle body is the original one off of my silver Formula. With the big duration cams that I run I usually have it idle at around 1500 (stops it from stalling after the burnout etc.). I'm sure with the stock cam we can work at a much lower rpm.

Take Care,

Daren

Mr Sam Crowder came over and built us a custom mount for the S & W torque arm (I will post pictures when it's painted).

New Hooker headers going in.

We also installed the Corvette valve covers, Opti-spark, MSD wires, and CSR water pump.

The Hookers are about the easiest to install too. They took about 30 minutes. No busted knuckles!

Next Saturday should be new axles and rear brakes. If all goes smoothly, it shouldn't be too much longer.

Amazing thread gizmo, the world needs more people that think like you.

I was fortunate enough to grow up around cars, bikes, dirt bikes, etc and the positive influences from friends and family that came with them, and I really think that helps kids make the right decisions growing up...even if they move away from the hobby as they get older.

I would much rather see kids working on a car together then just out on the corner hanging out.

Interested in the results!

GIZMO I am trying to clean up all the wires around the intake manifold, what you did with the injector harness is that the factory harness?? I need to look at mine I suppose, lol but that looks really clean. I want to do that to mine.
Any other ideas on cleaning up wires??
