Speaking of warranties, they aren't worth a **** unless it is all in writing and very specific, including parts that are unconditionally covered and workmanship. Never trust a gentlemanly agreement or a handshake because you WILL get burned everytime. I know....

You wont be getting money FROM them.
We have to pull money out of thin air from our banks/credit card companies.

If they had the money , they would have never folded to begin with . Those of you that can get your money back from the CC companies are the lucky ones . The rest of you are basically SOL , IMO . Anyone with warranty issues can forget about it .

I've had nothing but good things to say about SSi in the past as I had my trans rebuilt by them back in the spring of 2006. It was a very quick turn around time and the trans has been flawless since then.

It sounds like Joe and Amber are doing their best to try and resolve as many unresolved issues as possible. Considering it was both of their incomes, I'm sure they have a bigger concerne with putting food on the table for their family. I'm not minimizing the impact on those who are at a loss, but just keep that in mind. They are still on here and are not running and hiding, but let's avoid the whole mob mentality and posting of home adresses.

Would I be happy if I lost money or a trans, no, but my wife would probably kill me before I could ever post anything.

Exclamation sixspeedsinc.com "what a Joke"

I am sorry, but my husband has been working with this company since the beginning of the year and it has been nothing but a nightmare since. We have been awaiting to hear from Amber for months. We had an arrangement to recieve a tranny and we never did, and we have not seen our money either, and now it seems like they can not be found. Like a lot of you that are out money, I understand your fustration. I am in the middle of investigating on how to get my husband's money back, which he works hard for, like a lot of you. We like some went through paypal...and we are at dead end with them. If anyone has been in contact with Amber, can you please let me know...I have some words for her. I will be continuing to try to locate them, if I do I will let everyone know how to get a hold of her.

Sounds like a bunch of F'K'n crooks to me.....They'll get theirs...

I am glad I didn't use them yet. I am in Houston and always thought I would let them do mine when its ready.....

Guess I'll have to find someone else locally....

No, sounds like a small company that got into financial troubles and is now trying to recover and make the best of a bad situation. Will some people get hurt, yes, but you didn't see them disappear and vanish.

In this economy, it's real easy for a small business with tight margins to go under. I'm sure if they were a 'bunch of F'K'n crooks' we wouldn't be able to get ahold of them.
