Cooler for stock T56?

Default Cooler for stock T56?

Is it a good idea to get a tranny cooler for my stock T56? No i dont track/drag the car, its just a street car for nice days that gets driven with occasional spirited driving

What do you guys recomend
?

Don't believe there's anyway to install a cooler on them. I could be wrong though.

What site did you find at. Link?
I wouldn't think you could because there's no lines coming out of the transmission except for the line for the slave cylinder and there's not really a pump like on autos so you'd have to add in an electric pump even then I don't know how efficient it would be.

generally trans coolers are used on autos only. i havent heard of one on a T-56 before. not to say that they arent out there.

i am interested in the link though and more details.

Coolers on manuals are common on road track cars. You would have to add a pump as well as a cooler to pull it off in a std box. Or get a newer box with the pump inside. Fact is, for what you describe as usage, you won't need a cooler.

its good to know that they are out there, but i agree that most wouldnt need one.

good point on that one. i had an auto trans cooler in the stang and i never had issues but the t-56 is a different story, especially having to add a pump to make the system flow.

you don't need one.

but I do think Tanner has one on his t-56, but it is a hardcore setup.

T56's typically dont get hot enough to warrant a cooler like in an auto.
